lance raymundo to play young elwood perez in the film "mnemonics"...

lance feels proud to play a young elwood perez character
lance: young, passionate, artistic

direk elwood: he chose lance to play a younger him.

Every director has a dream, a vision... Every artistic person can get inspired once he sees a true beauty, that somehow inspires him more to do greater things.

In the case of film director Elwood Perez, the first time he saw actor-singer Lance Raymundo (when Lance was still a teenager), he at once felt magnified by the glitter and glow of Lance's handsomeness and personality. That very moment, he told Lance: "I will make you an actor in one of my films someday! I got so inspired with your handsomeness!"

At that time, Lance was still so young and studying at school. He still had no interest to become an actor then. And besides, he wanted to become more of a singer, rather than an actor at that young age. Although direk Elwood was his mom's friend, he never took seriously what direk Elwood said.

Years passed. Every time direk Elwood saw Lance, he kept on reminding him of  HIS PROMISE. And Lance felt so flattered about it because he knew it was direk Elwood saying that to him, a Master film director and one of the best film makers in Philippine Cinema.

Now, the moment had come. Direk Elwood's promise to Lance is now fulfilled via the film MNEMONICS, a semi-autobiographical film of director Elwood Perez.

"I am playing a young Elwood Perez in that film", Lance told his blogger-friend. "A romanticized Elwood, a more passionate and younger Elwood."

In the said film, every time direk Elwood sees a handsome young man, he becomes Lance Raymundo- younger and more rugged. The character transforms into a youthful person- which is also Elwood, basically.

"It's a challenge on my part to play a young Elwood", Lance further said. "As an actor, you have to divert yourself away from your own personality to become that person you are portraying. I thank direk Elwood because he gave me a chance to portray a younger him. It's an honor on my part."

Lance is now currently finishing shooting MNEMONICS. And we bet, this is going to be another direk Elwood masterpice.

MICHAEL PANGILINAN: ISANG PASASALAMAT

michael: a birthday concert

ISANG PASASALAMAT. ISANG LIBRENG KONSIYERTO. ISANG MICHAEL PANGILINAN.

"Dahil sa loob ng limang taong pamamalagi ko sa music industry, I guess it’s time for me to give back. Sabi nga, it’s payback time sa mga nagmamahal at sumusuporta sa akin, ‘di ba? Over the years, I truly realized na ito talaga ang mundong gusto kong tahakin—ang pagiging singer/performer. And I’m truly grateful to all of you—to my manager (Nanay Jobert Sucaldito) who has always stood by me since day one – I promise you na hindi ko pababayaan ang karerang ito and I will be a better boy. Thanks too to my audience, sa Michael’Overs na nagtitiyaga sa akin, my producers, my sponsors, members of the media na palaging nandiyan sa tabi ko and to my family—to my mom and dad and siblings – Kuya Sam and Peter, whew!

Darating sina Vice Ganda, KZ Tandingan, Marion, Garie Concepcion, Hashtag Nikko Seagal Natividad, Kuya Boy Abunda, Kiel Alo, Ezekiel, Kyle Matthew Manalo, Jake Ejercito, Allan K, Boobsie Wonderland, Ate Gay, Atak, Harana, Bugoy Drilon, Jovit Baldevino, Pink Mannequins, Jimmy Bondoc, Duncan Ramos, Ady Siwa, Wowowie Dancers, Richard Parojinog, Stefanie Patana, at President/Mayor Joseph Esrada, hosted by DJ Chacha and Romel Chika.

lance raymundo to host "ms. amazing philippines beauties"....

lance: something surprising and great coming-up

 handsome and the beast

lance: oh, my.

"lance, take me there!"

This coming Saturday, November 26, 2016, handsome actor-singer Lance Raymundo will be hosting the Ms. Amazing Philippines Beauties at the CCP Complex (the former Manila Film Center). At first, innocent Lance didn't know the true genders of the pretty women-transgenders participating at this prestigious event. And here is his story:

"That was a year ago when I first attended the rehearsals and I was so amazed by the beauties of the candidates", Lance said. "But then suddenly, I noticed one contestant who somehow intrigued me. He didn't look like exactly a real woman. So, I texted my manager, direk Shandii Bacolod, that there's this one contestant that didn't look like a real girl. My manager called me back, laughing. He told me that all of the contestants were not really girls, but transgenders! Oh, gosh. I was shocked. They were all so pretty in my eyes. Almost like goddesses of living art."

And that's only the time that Lance realized that he's hosting a beauty pageant on pretty transgenders/women. And he's more than happy at all. Because Lance was never a Homophobic guy. He sees people in fair manners, never discriminating them.

"I feel so honored and proud to host this great beauty pageant", Lance continued saying. "And thanks, they selected me to be their male host. This is my second year now of hosting this event."

Meanwhile, Lance is now readying his MTV shoot for his song LOVE AND FASCINATION, a song that was recorded under Wolf/Sound Recording in the year 2011 (five years ago). But this time, it has a different arrangement and a faster beat.

"Yes, so this time, medyo iba na 'yung beat ng kanta", Lance said again. "And I found a new breed of College students-musicians and singers backing me-up in the band. We will officially have a great launching of our own MTV video of this song by the month of February, alongside a surprise event that's coming-up in my professional career as a singer this time."

Sounds exciting, ha? This blogger already knows that surprising event coming-up on Lance's career as a singer, but Lance told us not to write about it first. A major press conference is soon coming-up to finally announce the event.

Indeed, the year 2017 holds something greater for Lance.

THE ELITES PRE-ANNIVERSARY AND PRE-X'MAS DINNER PARTY SOON! PLUS NIKKI CO'S GREAT FANS DAY IS NOW SET!

MR. MARTIN BELLOSILLO OF ELITES MODELS MANAGEMENT

THE LATEST CROP OF MALE ELITES MODELS!

JAO VIOLA WHO STOLE HEARTS AS ONE OF "PINOY BOY BAND" FINALISTS IS ALSO AN ELITES MODEL

One of the people that dad Martin Bellosillo of Elites Model Management would like to thank for is no less than Mr. Vince Tanada of Philippine Stagers Foundation. And now that they're coming-up with their Pre-Anniversary Party, Mr. Bellosillo cherishes so much the good break that Mr. Tanada gave to them.

VINCE TANADA also helped the ELITES models

"That's also the month of November, which was two years ago when they guested my Elites in their Araneta Center concert", Mr. Bellosillo told a blogger. "That event jump started the career of my Elites models. Because after that event, nagtuloy-tuloy na ang pagsikat ng mga models at talents ko. It brought us luck. That's why I am so thankful to Vince Tanada, and of course, to my blogger-friend Robert Silverio who thought of that idea na magkaroon ng mga models as guests sa concert na iyon ng Stagers sa Araneta Coliseum. My Elites were their only guests in that big concert that happened last year."

That's why Mr. Bellosillo thought of celebrating that memorable event this year- through a Pre-Anniversary and Pre-Christmas Dinner Party. The details of the event will be seen below. And only invited guests will be welcomed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bellosillo's ace talent, in person of Starstruck finalist and now a GMA artist-talent- Nikki Co,- will be having very soon his Grand Fans Day (look at the pictures below). Nikki will soon be starring in one of the lead roles in a GMA teleserye and this what excites Dad Martin the most.

"Aside from his growing fans, he's landing good roles in many GMA TV programs", Mr. Martin said. "I am sure that by next year, his career will really kick-off."

Mr. Martin would like to thank these following sponsors for his upcoming events:  Ryan George of Angat Pinoy. Fragranza, Eau De Italia, Jerome Aguilar Domingo, Doc Charlie Mendez, Kennedy Feria, Annabelle Wong, Eduard Santos Mercado, Chooks To Go,  Michael Angelo Lubrin, Planet Red, RC Cola, Splash Island, DermaWorld, Doc Pao Bellosillo, The Elites, Geraldine Co & Boardwalk.

GERALD EMBRACES A SPECIAL FRIEND.

Damang-dama mo. Kitang-kita mo.

"Gerald's voice did capture my soul."

JUN PABLO

"I am proud to have him as a Gantimpala artist", sabi naman ni direk Jun Pablo. "I am proud na ipinakita niya sa madla na ang training niya sa poise and projection ay mula sa amin dito sa Gantimpala Theater Foundation. I am proud na ipinagmamalaki rin niya kami. And tonight that I saw him perform, I almost cried because of his greatness as an artist!"

FRANNIE ZAMORA

But there's more!

"He's so gifted, At sa mga kantang kinanta niyang lahat sa konsiyertong naganap, he simply proved to everybody that he could render all types of songs- mapa-pop, mapa-classical, mapa-ballad!", sabi naman ni direk Frannie. "I will never forget Gerald's performance tonight for the rest of my life."

And some media people, like Mr. Ibarra Mateo, were anchoring for more performances soon.

Grabe. Bow kami sa iyo, Mr. Gean Allain de Leon for making the concert the best one we've seen this year among all concert shows! Sobra.

Indeed, Gerald Santos, na kilala rin bilang San Pedro Calungsod, HAS ARRIVED.

AND NEED WE SAY MORE?

gerald santos' concert tonight at the library

"Sana, kantahin niya ang audition piece niya sa Miss Saigon", pakiusap ng isang fan sa Facebook post ng direktor na si Frannie Zamora.

Oo nga, dahil marami ang nasasabik na ngayon na muling mapanood si Gerald, and many are hoping na makasama siya sa West End for the Miss Saigon stints there soon. Gusto muling madama ng mga fans ang kagalingan na ipinamalas niya nuong mag-audition siya sa nasabing hit Broadway musical. Let's all hope and pray na makuha si Gerald!

Nanganganib na kasi ang nasabing theater group na mag-survive, and that's why they thought of putting-up events like these na pawang mga benefit shows.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng The Library ni Andrew de Real, upon the brainchild of direk Frannie Zamora, magkakaroon na ng weekly event shows ang Gantimpala sa nasabing venue. Kaya lalo naman stressed-up these days sina direk Frannie at si direk Jun Pablo, ang Marketing Director ng Gantimpala.

Tonight sa show ni Gerald, makakasama niya ang The Voice finalist na si Timmy Pavino, at ang all-boys-group chorale na Supremos.

And, surprise of all surprises!

Experience a totally exciting show dahil pawang may international standards ang mga kakanta at sasayaw tonight.

Of course, Gerald Santos will surely win your hearts again tonight. See you all there!!!

THE GREAT ADVOCACY OF DEREK DEE

(Note: Article Below Was First Published In Robert Silverio's Facebook Notes*)
derek: dead man walking no more

derek: ruggedly handsome

derek: with great fashion sense

Thirty years ago, action star Derek Dee stopped using drugs and he never went back doing it again from that time on. That was the turning point of his life from being a "rebel rich kid" into a man with stricter rules in life and straightness. He focused more on being a nature-lover, out-of-town thrills, health awareness and entered a career as an action star, having actress-beauty queen Melanie Marquez as his former wife at that period of time. He had totally forgotten drugs and other sorts of bad ways like being with the wrong group of friends and maybe, womanizing.
He made films and even produced some under their own I AM Productions, with the help of his late mom- Mrs. Regina Y. Dee (who passed-away a few years ago). He became famous and respectable as an action star, but his marriage with Melanie Marquez failed after they had two pretty daughters- Maxine Dominique (now residing in the U.S.) and Sarah Michelle (presently a Bench contract model). And Derek moved on with his life. Settled-in with a new girl but became a very responsible father to his daughters, as he continued to live a normal, healthy, low-key and very private life.
derek with his new girl: the greatest love

But there came a "lull" period n Derek's life when nothing was heard of him for more than a couple of years before his mom died. No one ever knew, he was encountering a very risky and life-threatening battle that no one realized. At that time, he alone faced that "greatest battle of his life".
"The effects were slow as I experienced them", Derek told a blogger-friend of his in one very intimate re-bonding meeting and interview. "I had aching bones, I felt so much fatigue, I felt weak.
"I was almost nearing my senior citizen age- almost nearing 60, and I first thought, maybe because I was simply getting older, and that's what my gym instructor also told me when I was already complaining of feeling too much fatigue every time I went to the gym. But it didn't stop there. The symptoms became unbearable so I had a general check-up to my doctor. They tested my blood and that's where they found it- I got Hepa-C."
How could he get it? Derek asked himself at that grievous time of knowing the reality of his sudden weakness in many physical aspects of himself. And his doctors told him that Hepa-C could only be transferred or dwelt into BLOOD. That's the time he realized and remembered that he used needles when he got into drugs during his teen years. And that's where he definitely got it- from a contaminated and used needle-, shared upon to him by someone who got the virus of Hepa-C.
"There are only two ways you could have Hepa-C", Derek continued on saying. "Through needles or through blood transfusion, or, liver transplant. In my case, I never had blood transfusion or any transplants. It definitely went into my blood through the needles I used when I was still using drugs."
And Derek sooner checked-upon his former friends in his teen years up to his mid-twenties years. He discovered: Seventy per cent of them had died. Those friends of his who all used drugs. They died early because they continued-on drinking, smoking, partying. Unlike him who stopped many years before them and led a clean but healthier lifestyle.
"When I knew that 70 per cent of my friends during my teen years had died, it didn't stop me from wanting to be cured of Hepa C", Derek still continued on saying. "The more I wanted to be alive and find a cure. Almost everyday, I would be at the internet looking for answers, looking for medicinal updates on the cure of Hepa-C. I googled and googled, and followed the latest news and viral links on the cure of Hepa C. Until finally, I found it. In one blog site, I saw and read that a medicine company had finally invented and formed the miraculous drug called Harvonil.
And it has a 94 per cent guaranteed cureness for Hepa-C. My efforts of looking for a cure had finally paid-off." Now, Derek is totally cured of Hepa-C because of the Harvonil drug. And he wants others to get the same experience of being totally cured from the sickness. He wants others to know, to feel, to rejoice.
Before, getting sick of Hepatitis C is already a DEATH SENTENCE. You are already a “Dead Man Walking” if you got the deadly virus. But now, things have changed.
“Yes, there’s a cure”, Derek Dee ended talking to a blogger-friend. “Even if the drug is so expensive, I can help them find ways to get the drug in a cheaper way. There’s a solution to everything. There’s a remedy for everything. And I also want the poor people who are sick of Hepa-C to be cured and avail of this drug. We can find ways to do that. This is my life’s advocacy now. And it’s going to be a lifetime commitment.”
derek with his daughter michelle and his late mom- mrs. regina y. dee (on the backdrop)

Derek is now getting tremendous support from his daughter Michelle Dee (a Bench model/artist) in this advocacy. And friends shower him with much love and moral support nowadays. It’s all too overwhelming for him, being brave enough to be open and take out the STIGMA of admitting a very deadly disease. But his strong conviction and openness only cured him more of the sickness.
If Derek Dee got the Hepa-C from drugs, it’s also a DRUG that cured him now.
And we can say by now, it’s only GOOD KARMA on his part.

question and answer (Q & A) with vince tanada...

VINCE BELIEVES THAT ART MUST BE SEEN LARGELY.

Naririto sa ibaba ang aming Q & A interview with Vince Tanada:

ROBERT: What do you feel about the restaging of Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela, Vince?

VINCE: This is the play that I value the most, Robert. Because of all the plays that I did, this is the one that opened so many doors for Philippine Stagers Foundation. It traveled all over the Philippines and we did able to penetrate many different schools, government agencies, provinces and other important venues. But the most memorable one for me was when this play got a 30 minutes standing ovation in a very important screening-event for government agencies that was held in Tagaytay City. Those people in that special event had discerning taste, but we managed to impress them and get a very long standing ovation. We're even asking them to sit down already, but they still stood and clapped their hands.
With this play, I knew I did something good. It inspired so many people, and we changed the lives of so many people who watched this play. This play also strengthened and fortified the relationship of Stagers to each other. Because we bonded all the more in the many different provinces we performed. And I did feel so much the sincerity and the passion of my Stagers at that time. That's why this play is indeed, so special to me and memorable, aside from the fact that it's my favorite, too.
Except for Jordan Ladra who was the original Emilio Aguinaldo in the cast, the original Stagers are reprising their roles in this re-staging of Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela. That's why it's so refreshing to all of us.

ROBERT: What makes Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela your most favorite play to date in all PSF productions?

VINCE: It's a strict Sarsuwela, that's why. And it's really a classical play. Which is not the usual formula in all my PSF plays- which is, in a way, a mixture of Pop and classical. But Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela is an all-out classical one, a Sarsuwela. That's why it's one of my favorites. And you know, I was first trained as a classical singer when I first joined the Kundirana singing group of La Salle Greenhills when I was in high school. In a way, my training was classical music. And this play fits me to a T.
And I have to say, too, that this play of mine is the most under-rated among all the plays that I did. It got no awards nor nominations in Aliw Awards and other award-giving bodies. In short, it was snubbed. And I did not know why. Unlike with my new play Katips now, it got a sweeping 8 nominations in Aliw Awards.
Kaya ako, bilang creator ng play na ito, I can honestly say na paborito ko talaga ang play na ito. Ito ang trip na trip ko- both as an actor and as a director.

ROBERT: How different is the scope of Katips compared to Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela?

VINCE: I'd like to begin with the fact that both Katips and Bonifacio have the same objectives. But it's simply different in scope of time. But both plays were meant to fight for injustice that the Filipinos felt in those eras. Expose a part of history that was not taught in classrooms and was not included in school textbooks. When I was growing up, history teachers were silent about that episode in our history pertaining to Bonifacio. And what's surprising was, Bonifacio was killed by our fellow Filipinos. he was not killed by colonizers. because at that time, they want to silence the ordinary, poor Filipinos.... In a way, in Katips, somehow the Filipino revolt won, but in Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela, they did not. And that's the difference... When Bonifacio died, the people succeeded. His death became the rise of Nationalism. He was the sacrificial lamb. But until now, I can say, our country did not really get the true independence it badly wanted.

ROBERT: With the many hectic schedules and performances of your plays, plus an added task of marketing your plays all over the country, how do you handle to give yourself a good time management, Vince?

VINCE: You see, Robert, i am very passionate not only in creating my art but also in marketing it. It stands both ways for me. because I feel, my plays must be well-viewed. I want a more bigger audience. Unlike with other artists, they're very selective with their audience- like CCP. They simply do it for Art. But I feel, for an Art to be more appreciated, it should be widely viewed. You should not only be passionate by creating your Art, but also as passionate as well in marketing it. To put the message within your Art across in all types of classes, people and friends in the society. For your Art to live longer, think of ways to make it last longer than you think.
Regarding your question about good time management, I simply live a day at a time. Set my time in a proper way and make the best out of it. That, is, good time management for me.

ROBERT: What do you love most about being Vince Tanada?

VINCE: I am always misunderstood. People tend to look at me so differently. But after quite some time, they will all go back to me and tell me that they made a mistake. And they will tell me that what they saw at first, was not me at all. And they will all try to win me back. That makes my revenge more SWEETER to them.... You see, they just did not know that I am always preoccupied doing a lot of things, and I cannot respond to all their demands, I cannot do that to everyone. And they will realize it. And they will say SORRY... Because they realized, they got mad at me without me doing anything bad against them. When they go back to me, I still welcome them. And that's what I love the most about being ME.

ROBERT: Oh, my. Thank you very much, Vince.

VINCE: Thank you, too, Robert.
