ON-GOING PA RIN ANG ACTING WORKSHOP NG SPYGLASS FILMS!

"An actor (often actress for females; see terminology) is a person who portrays a character in a performance. The actor performs "in the flesh" in the traditional medium of the theatre, or in modern mediums such as film, radio, and television. The analogous Greek term is ὑποκριτής (hupokritḗs), literally "one who answers". The actor's interpretation of their role pertains to the role played, whether based on a real person or fictional character. Interpretation occurs even when the actor is "playing themselves", as in some forms of experimental performance art, or, more commonly; to act, is to create, a character in performance.
Formerly, in some societies, only men could become actors, and women's roles were generally played by men or boys.[when?] When used for the stage, women occasionally played the roles of prepubescent boys.[citation needed][when?]"--- ARNEL FELIX, FILM DIRECTOR

fanny tf serrano with ever-loving mom

fanny tf: christian

fanny tf: beauty inside and out

fanny tf: his salon is like Paradise

At saglit siyang NAGDASAL.

Ganu'n pala iyon.

Borromeo St., Tomas Morato, Q.C.

Tara na. Magpaganda tayo. Punta tayo muli sa Beauty Salon ni Tita Fanny.

Siya lang naman ang taong mas lalong nagpaganda kina Lorna Tolentino, Sharon Cuneta, Zsazsa Padilla, Sarah Geronimo, Maegan Young, Charlene Gonzales, Kiray, Melanie Marquez, at marami pang iba.

Gaganda ka rin ng tulad nila.

Dahil ang Diyos ay namamahay-

sa tuwina-

sa Beauty Salon na FANNY TF SERRANO SALON.

Magpakailanman.

Good morning 🌞☕️
Have a nice day 😊👍

LA LUNA SANGRE: WHEN THE DREAMING NEVER ENDS (review no. 2 on the 2nd and 5th episodes of this primetime TV drama)...

Sometimes, love takes on a journey in an ending swing. It may be painful, funny, sad or violent. But love have its own reasons why- only God can comprehend and understand- why it has to end.

A soul lingers on to carry a lingering journey- just like a "lone jihad" out to spread a message. The message may be confusing or distracting, but still, it carries on.

It's a lonely soul out to fulfill a task. Can it be for LIFE? or DEATH? FOR NOW, only that soul ... knows.

The sacrifices made by the people who loves you, at the expense of their own lives, should never be put to waste. And thus, the soul, no matter how tired... lingers on.

The 5th episode of LA LUNA SANGRE, the latest Primetime TV Drama on ABS-CBN channel 2- was the most important episode  of all- that could fell on all aspects and conflicts- and  concluded-, that it's still LOVE that saved.

As John Lloyd Cruz' (who portrayed the role of Mateo- the father of the female child branded and prophesied  as 'itinakda') brutal and violent death happened, you could feel so much pain. The actor performed with vast and wide range of emotions, intensity and yet, calmed by his gentle looks and ways. The death of his character only further attested the true and everlasting love he felt for his family. He tried to save them, but even the woman he so dearly loved (magnificently and so heart-warmingly portrayed by Angel Locsin) was slain by the avenging vampire (portrayed by Richard Guttierez). The vampire's hand became a barbecue stick that stabbed both of them.

There was a female child who laid among John Lloyd and Angel. But it was NOT their child, it was not the 'itinakda'. The 'itinakda' managed to escape, riding on a big werewolf as she cried and cried (portrayed by a new but very good child actress we could not know and distinguish on the opening credits of the teleserye). But that child would grow-up soon as Kathryn Bernardo.

If roles on TV dramas are like these- actors and actresses would be much valued and loved. The effect of the roles were too heavy, even though they died, their shadows and existence on this great TV drama would last FOREVER.

And the music played on. Towards the end, as the beloved characters laid there- DEAD. The song Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin was finally played. This song was the soul of the STORY, on the continuing saga and conflicts among vampires and wolves.

There they were, killing each other. Biting one another. Jumping and flying high- NON-STOP. How could a woman director, in person of Ms. Cathy Garcia-Molina do these and execute those stuff. Marvelous. Because the effect was all TOO MANLY. You could not justify any reasons why a woman could direct those action-packed scenes. Unbelievable.

"It's like a full-length film inside a theater house that I was watching", the eldest sister of a blogger told him. "The actors were amazing, all of them are so good. What a great casting coup."

We did agree. Most especially on the presences of Romnick Sarmenta (who's so outstanding on all the first four episodes, almost stealing-away the acting greatness of John Lloyd Cruz- but John Lloyd made great efforts on his final scenes of death- and the stealing-away was never grabbed), Dino Imperial (the prophesier characterization was superb), Gelli de Belen, Ina Raymundo, Victor Neri, Wowie de Guzman and, the child actor who would soon be Daniel Padilla (paging, Mr. Aaaron Domingo, you should have invited us on some media presscons of the show 'coz we couldn't assert on the opening credits the name of this great child actor! Ha-ha. Ouch---*R.S.)

Even though the theme of this TV drama series was dark and suspenseful, it's nice to know that it was presented in a FILIPINO way and local rural setting. Especially the provincial look, the old Filipino habits and tradition. It further added gloss and cinematic awe to this wonderful teleserye.

The costumes, clothes that were all worn were authentic, colorful, classy (on the vampire costumes) and articulate. The sea that sorrounded, and the wild  forest..., the mountains and the hills, the smiles on the corn fields-, that, only the Production Designers and Art Directors could offer much outstandingly.

Credits also goes to the bit players and all the supporting cast- with brief scenes that shocked and astonished you. No matter how short were the roles that they all portrayed- they were played with much angst and weight.

Kudos to all the Creative People who're behind this show.

*****************************

And that soul walked on. And on and on and on...

He walked amidst the side streets, dark alleys, shadowing post lights of unending search and dreams.

When the dreaming never ends, the children would continue what's left of the fight.

because,

it was not the fight for the supremacy of vampires, nor the werewolves-

IT WAS-

the fight for LOVE and its true meaning.

that triumphed until

THE END.

ORLANDO SOL: MINSAN SA ISANG PANAGINIP

Minsan sa isang panaginip, may nakita ka.

Isang larawan. PASSPORT I.D. size.

Nadama niya, gusto mo talaga.

FAST-FORWARD;

Iniikutan ng media at press people.

At sobrang galing kumanta.

SIYA SI ORLANDO SOL.

MAY BAGONG CD ALBUM NA ANG PAMAGAT AY: "EMOSYON"

Mula noon, hanggang ngayon.

Minsan sa isang panaginip....

May isa pa ring-

ORLANDO SOL.

MICHAEL PANGILINAN: THE HESITANT THEATER ACTOR

michael contemplates for his role as JULIO

MICHAEL: "with God's help, I can deliver the role"

michael: flunked by his showbiz media friends

Starting by the month of July, according to Michael Pangilinan's manager- Jobert Sucaldito, pop singer/theater actor Michael Pangilinan will start rehearsing for the musical play of Gantimpala Theater Foundation- the theater version of the old classic film Maynila: Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag.

Michael is now deep into fully researching the male lead character- that, of a provincial boy who called himself Julio and drifted into the dark streets of Manila, trying to save the love of his life- a woman named Ligaya.

"He already watched the film many times", Jobert told a blogger. "He never knew how hard the character was. But I told him to keep on, carry on. He's quite nervous, very nervous."

And Jobert also warned Michael that his director in this musical play- in person of master film director Joel Lamangan- is strict in ways and professionalism.

"I told him to be punctual once the rehearsals start", Jobert said again. "I don't want direk Joel to be disappointed on him. Michael was direk Joel's one and only choice to portray the character of Julio in this musical play version of the classic film."

When the blogger bumped into Michael in one showbiz event, the "hesitant theater actor" told us these:

"I know who I am and I know my limitations", Michael told a blogger. "But with God's help, I know I can carry on. Please wish me luck- for me to deliver my job."

Maynila: Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag will be staged by the month of September. Other theater greats will join the cast. And definitely, this is one of the finest moments to wait on the theater scene.

Carry mo 'yan, Michael.

“GRAY HORIZON” GIVES NEW PERSPECTIVE ON TONDO

“GRAY HORIZON” GIVES NEW PERSPECTIVE ON TONDO

(photos by: ciron seneres)

THE Cultural Center of the Philippines Visual Arts and Museum Division presents "Gray Horizon," featuring 36 new works by visual artist Ciron Señeres, on exhibit from June 21 to July 23, 2017, at the Pasilyo Vicente Manansala (2F Hallway Gallery).

Curated by Ricky Francisco, the exhibit introduces the audience to Tondo, the largest and most populous district of Manila, where artist Ciron Señeres started his distinct painting style of thick black and white, a high contrast depiction of neglected nooks and crannies, broken things, and discarded material, in a still contemplation of the high drama in decay.

Located at the heart of Manila, Tondo has an area of 9.10 square kilometers and an average population density of 69,297 per km², which is one of the highest in the world. In its periphery are Manila’s main slaughterhouse, its harbors, and communities that make their living by continuously burning driftwood to make charcoal; all of which add to its dinginess and grime. It is notorious for poverty, slums, crime, and the ever present smoke of the fires from the charcoal pits and the burning garbage, which covers the horizon in a gray-black layer of haze and soot. What would have been repulsive, the artist has found rather beautiful.

The struggle for human dignity, despite the tremendous odds, is a drama that unfolds daily in the dingy streets of Tondo, and in all honesty, much of Manila. This is what Señeres memorializes with Gray Horizon.

He wants the audience to experience and understand the developing slums by the bay. Strolling along the alleys of BASECO (Bataan Shipping and Engineering Company Compound) to see the residents in their humble dwellings overcoming the challenge of protracted access to water and electricity, he delved deeper into the atrocities that these residents engage with each day and see how they manage to keep their enthusiasm for tomorrow and the uncertainties it bears.

To understand Señeres' works for Gray Horizon is to see the beauty in the struggle of common folk. If beauty is easily perceived in National Artist Fernando Amorsolo’s streams and quiet places, Señeres attempts to depict solitude amidst the city’s confusion. The tension between both provides the drama.

In the thirty-six works that comprise Gray Horizon, the audience is given a view of the city from its streets where chaos gives way to careful composition under the artist’s watchful eye and keen sense of contrast. It is collaged into an artificial horizon which point to cross sections of the city, the city which Señeres understands.

The Pasilyo Vicente Manansala is located at the CCP, along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. For more information, contact the Visual Arts and Museum Division at (632) 832-1125 loc. 1504/1505 and 832-3702, mobile (0917) 6033809, email ccp.exhibits@gmail.com,  or visit www.culturalcenter.gov. ph.
