And those handsome food treats of direk Arnel Felix that made me gain some weight. Haha.
And the sudden appearance of cutie pie Lharby Policarpio behind my back, greeting me and hugging me tight when we had cocktails for the Cinemalaya full-length film entry "Bagahe"?
What about the very warm concern of veteran actress Ms. Boots Anson-Roa, head of Mowelfund Film Institute, as she personally asked me to visit her office for some support and help because she knew my late father, Rino fernan Silverio (R.I.P.)?
And the very wonderful greeting of new actress Tori Garcia (paging Throy Catan) when she saw me alone in the lobby of the main theater of the CCP? Even her dad was so nice. Oh, my.
OH, YES, YES, YES! That interview session with mr. Rommel Luna, dad of Anna Luna, the lead actress of the film "Requitted" was so great! he even gave me a Lunar Saints t-shirt. Rommel just kept on making me feel so important!
And next to that, that very intimate interview session with Ms. NP Picadizo, the director of "Requitted" at the facade stairs of the CCP. It gave me a feeling of sincerity and truthfulness...
What about that brief talk with indie film director Vic Acedillo? He stood beside me at the CCP main Theater lobby and I told him how I admire his works...
And yes, how could I forget the warm support of my new friend Dexter Macaraig who never left me, introducing me to his friends, seeing to it that I could enter a screening and going out of his way to make me feel comfortable? Those, indeed, are acts of a true friendship!
Wow, and meeting this group called LOVING ANIM, who're all Ricky Lee's recent batch of sriptwriting workshoppers, supported by ABS-CBN channel 2? They are so good, charming, friendly and sooooooooo nice!!! Thanks again, Dexter, for introducing me to them!!!
And that brief talk with great scriptwriter Ricky Lee! As we both reminisced the past because I was among his second batch of workshoppers not so many years ago, together with award-winning indie film director Ralston Jover???? Haha.
Those moments with Ma'm Irene Rada, head P.R. of Cultural Center of the Philippines, was simply wonderful. She gave me many complimentary tickets in many films being shown there. Oh, my. I accepted her brief sermon of me not applying early for my Cinemalaya Media Pass, that's it was too late already to have one! Hihihi...
Those "avoiding" stares of mine to young indie film maker Mik Rhed made him blush and his two girls feeling "un"-smiling.
The great coffee treat of Perry Escano at Krispy Kreme was totally sincere and warm. Love you, Perry!
The restaurant basement lunch at Barbara's, together with directors Arman Reyes and Ces Evangelista was truly satisfying as we ate home-made dishes of Dinuguan, Puto, Menudo and Kare-Kare.
Bonding with direk Arnel Felix's group at Chicken Inasal was another truly great moment at my Cinemalaya journey. Together with mr. Tony Leyba, Rhommel Bernardo, Rebecca Armemita, Macky Sosa, and direk Arnel, of course. A new film is being planned!!!
Seeing the film KIKO BOKSINGERO, I guess, was the most wonderful viewing of all. It was done so beautifully, and those cute smiles of director Thop Nazareno made me blush.
Oh, my. How could I forget that I truly enjoyed the great cocktails at the opening night of Cinemalaya? It was served after the opening film- "Birdshot" was shown at the Silangan Hall. great bonding of Cinemalaya film artists happened there that very evening!
The friendly hug of "A-Lister" film director Raymond Red was so reassuring, as I went beside him inside the CCP Main Theater for a picture shot.
Yes, those little stares of actor Sid Lucero made me feel conscious. Hihihi...
The very warm invitation of colleague Mell T. Navarro to have cocktails upstair before the film "Ang Guro Kong Hindi Marunong Magbasa" started. It was so caring...
Bonded and talked with strangers I never knew before. Mostly students, yuppies (young professionals), film enthusiasts, executives... I was, like, the Darling of the Press...
And finally, smoking alone and unseen in that ittle smoking area beside a hidden portion of the side entrance of the CCP. From there, I could meditate and commune with the Cinema.
MY HAPPIEST MEMORIES AT THE 13TH CINEMALAYA...
WILL LAST-
FOREVERMORE.
