ERICKSON DELA CRUZ PHOTOGRAPHS THE MEDIA CONFERENCE OF "A CHRISTMAS CAROL"...

THEY'D SAY THAT, CHRISTMAS IS JUST FOR KIDS. LET THEM BE THE ONES TO GET HAPPY. LET THEM ENJOY FULLY THE SPIRIT OF THE YULETIDE SEASON...

BUT, CHRISTMAS COULD ALSO BE FOR THE LONELY HEARTS AND THOSE ATTAINING THE "GREY" MOMENTS OF THEIR LIVES...

JUST LIKE IN THE MUSICAL PLAY "A CHRISTMAS CAROL", WHEREIN THE FADING CHARACTER OF SCROOGE SEES UPON THE GHOSTS OF HIS CHRISTMAS PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE, MOMENTS LIKE THAT IN ONE MEDIA CONFERENCE BECAME VERY IMPORTANT IN THE HEART & MIND OF ONE BLOGGER.

IT WAS, THE FIRST LUNCH CHRISTMAS OF HIS LIFE IN THE YEAR OF 2017...

AND THANKS TO PHOTOGRAPHER ERICKSON DELA CRUZ FOR CAPTURING THOSE BRIEF MOMENTS IN THE MEDIA CONFERENCE.

SEEING THOSE THEATER ACTORS IN THEIR HAPPY WAYS AND ARISTOCRATIC MANNERS...

BEING A PART OF THEM ON THAT RAINY AFTERNOON,

WHEREIN WORDS AND PICTURES WERE NOT JUST ENOUGH...

NOTHING ELSE WOULD MATTER

JUST LIKE

FOREVER.

A Christmas Tradition: Finding the Miracle Within

(A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Presented by:
Globe Live & 9 Works Theatrical)

"A Christmas Tradition: Finding the Miracle Within"

The nation, and perhaps even the globe have seen some of its darkest days in the recent years. As the year draws to a close and we look back on the year that was, one thing rings true—that whichever way the world turns, light will always outshine darkness. Love will always trump evil. The yuletide season beckons a time of homecoming, gathering, and discovering life little’s miracles, and best of all, the miracle within.

Now on its second season, Globe Live and 9 Works Theatrical aim to create an annual Christmas tradition in the musical A Christmas Carol. Inspired by the same idea as New York’s annual fare of staging A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden, it endeavors to gather families every season in the same spirit, creating a sense of tradition in storytelling and gathering as a community.

The story of A Christmas Carol resonates with everyone, as the transformation of Scrooge represents every single person’s journey, of discovering the goodness that lies within all of us. As Ebenezer Scrooge goes from a person of indifference to compassion and from hate to love, the message of the show prevails—that love transforms and changes us all for the better. After years of idling by and living in the dark pits of bitterness and rage, Scrooge begins to see the light after the ghosts of past, present, and future pay him a visit, stirring him back into the gentle, compassionate man he once was.

A Christmas Carol stars theater veteran Miguel Faustmann as Ebenezer Scrooge, Noel Rayos as Jacob Marley and Mr. Fezziwig, Franco Laurel as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Nico Dans as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Rissey Reyes as the Ghost of Christmas Future, and Jaime Yupangco and Elai Estrella as Tiny Tim.

Rounding up the cast are Jon Abella as Bob Cratchit, Tricia Canilao as Mrs. Cratchit, Dawn Eduave as Mrs. Fezziwig, Laurence Mossman as Young Ebenezer, Arman Ferrer as Fred, Mitzie Lao as Emily, Gian Gloria as Sally, Krystal Brimner and Rayne Cortez as Grace Smythe, Tory Cortez as Jonathon, Omar Uddin and Diego Soler as Scrooge at 12, Simone Martinez and Cerise Ramirez as Fan, Joe Ng and Bourne Luna as Fred’s son, Kyle Francisco as Martha Cratchit, MC dela Cruz as Mr. Smythe, JP Basco as Young Marley, Josh Ramirez as John William Scrooge, Kendrick Ibasco as Beadle, Vyen Villanueva as Mr. Hawkins, Jourdan Bartolome as Old Joe, Mariella Laurel as Scrooge’s mother, Peachy Atilano-Guevara as Mrs. Mops, Shalee Vicencio as Mrs. Hawkins and Joni Galeste.

A Christmas Carol is directed by Robbie Guevara, together with Onyl Torres as assistant director, Daniel Bartolome as musical director, PJ Rebullida as choreographer & Yek Barlongay for additional tap choreography, Ed Lacson as set designer, Dong Calingacion as technical director, Myrene Santos as hair and makeup designer, and Ian Cartalaba as costume head.

Heading the production team are executive producers Santi Santamaria (9 Works Theatrical) and Joe Caliro (Globe Live), Denise Seva (Globe Live Director for Events and Production), with 9 Works Theatrical’s Anna Santamaria as company manager, Sab Jose and Jonjon Martin as PR managers, GM Hernandez as marketing manager, Arma Bonilla as stage manager, Gian Nicdao as graphic designer and JC Inocian as photographer.

Globe Live and 9 Works Theatrical’s A Christmas Carol will be shown at the Globe Iconic Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater, Bonifacio Global City on December 7-9, 14-16, 21-22 & 26-27 at 8:00pm, December 10 & 17 (Sundays) and December 25 Christmas Show at 7:00pm.
