Nu'ng minsang mapanood namin si Ced Torrecarion sa Senakulong MARTIR SA GOLGOTA nu'ng nagdaang Holy Week ng taong 2019, talagang nagmarka sa aming kaisipan ang kakaiba niyang galing sa pagganap. Damang-dama mo 'yung lawak ng pag-arte niya - napakalaki, buong-buo at matatag. It's LARGER THAN LIFE, ganyan ang made-describe namin sa eksekusyon na ginawa ni Ced bilang si Pontius Pilate sa dulang Martir Sa Golgota. 

Kaya naman nu'ng minsang makapanaym namin si Ced minsan sa isang imbitasyon mula sa kanya para i-promote ang DOLCE FAR NIENTE WELLNESS SPA na pag-aari niya at ng kanyang girlfriend na si Lee Ann, ang una naming naitanong sa kanya ay kung gaano na ba siya katagal sa Teatro dahil napakagaling niyang talaga?

"I've been doing Theater since I was a kid", bungad na sabi sa amin ni Ced. "I started it out acting since I was 17 years old. Marami na akong nagawang mga theatrical productions. Mahirap kung iisa-isahin pa natin.

"Pero at that time, nakilala rin ako ni Boy Abunda at gusto niya akong kunin as one his male talents then", dugtong na sabi ni Ced. "Kay lang, at that time, gusto ng father ko na mag-aral muna ako. Later on, naging manager ko ang yumaong si Alfie Lorenzo. Kinuha ako ng ABS-CBN at lumabas ako sa mga teleserye nilang Tabing Ilog at Labs Ko Si Babes. Gusto akong i-groom ng channel 2 noon bilang isang matinee idol, pero 'yun nga, mas priority pa rin sa akin kasi ang studies ko at that time. bagets pa kasi noon.

"Nakalabas din ako sa isang malaking TV commercial na ipinalabas all-over Asia", anya pa. "Yun ang commercial na Khali commercial. Sumikat ang TV com na 'yun."

Nu'ng high school days ni Ced, doon siya pumasok sa mundo ng Teatro. Nakalabas na siya sa Gantimpala Theater Foundation at PETA.

"Nakalabas ako sa lahat ng tinatawag nilang 4-C plays noon sa Gantimpala Theater", sabi ni Ced. "Yung 4-C plays na iyon, 'yun ang Kanser, El Filibusterismo, Florante at Laura at Ibong Adarna. Naging suki ako sa pagganap sa mga plays na iyon. Minsan na rin akong naidirek ni Tony Mabesa sa Dulaang U.P."

Ano ba ang kaibahan ng pag-arte sa Teatro kumpara ng pag-arte sa telebisyon para kay Ced?

"Sa Teatro, walang Take Two", sagot ni Ced. "Kapag naiarte mo na iyong isang eksena, iyon na 'yun, that's it. That's why you have to save yourself du'n mismo sa actual performance na. Huwag mo munang ibigay ang lahat sa rehearsals. Samantalang sa TV naman, mayroong take two, take three, hanggang sa ma-perfect mo 'yung pag-arte mo ayon sa panlasa ng direktor. In theater, you have to act BIG and wide. Pero sa TV, you have to minimize. You have to lessen."

Kasama ngayon si Ced sa teleseryeng Los Bastardos ng channel 2 na napapanood tuwing hapon, mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes.

"Ang pangalan ng character ko doon ay Antonio Silang", kuwento ni ced. "Isa akong rebeldeng may hawak ng susi kung sino talaga ang mastermind ng lahat ng kaguluhan sa istorya. Mapanghamon ang papel ko doon.

"Plus magaan katrabaho sina Jake Cuenca at Joseph Marco na mga bida sa Los Bastardos", anya pa. "Nakasama ko na rin kasi sila dati sa teleseryeng Passion de Amor kaya medyo at ease na ako sa kanila."

Kasalukuyan, may ginagawa ding isang indie film si Ced na kung saan ang papel niya ay isang Pulis.

In-between his acting jobs, naisisingit pa rin naman ni Ced ang pagma-manage nilang magkasintahan sa DOLCE FAR NIENTE SPA.

"Night shift ako makikita sa Spa", pagtatapos na sabi ni Ced. "Samantalang si Lee Ann naman na siyang girlfriend ko, sa umaga siya. Kasi siya ang bumibili ng mga pangangailangan sa Spa tulad nung mga oils na ginagamit. I've invited some actor-friends of mine doon sa Spa namin, and so far, lahat naman sila ay very satisfied. May branch kami sa Guadalupe Viejo, Makati at yung isa, sa Project 6 naman. And soon, we're planning to open-up another branch in Tomas Morato."

LEE ANN LAZARO (CED'S GF) INSIDE THE INTERIORS OF DOLCE FAR NIENTE SPA

In this Millenial Age when people rush in and out from day to day, all fighting in their many kinds and forms of survival and existence, it's hard to breathe-in and out sometimes. It's hard to take a moment and walk aimlessly for a while, and sometimes, hard to look for a place to go to and hide- simply do nothing and escape life's many trivial moments. A person needs to rest for  a while, because even God Himself rested on the 7th Day. And humans are weaker by nature, they need some few moments to relax, soothe themselves in, and be at peace.

When TV and stage actor Ced Torrecarion, together with his pretty girlfriend- Ms. Lee Ann Lazaro, suffered the 'Fate' of looking for a relaxing place to go every time they're stressed-out from work, they came-up with an idea of putting up their own Spa, wherein they could both relax and chill-in, and at the same time, form a business that could be beneficial to everyone, especially to celebrities and actors like Ced.

"Imagine, me and my girlfriend Lee going to the Spa at least 3 to 4 times a week during those stressed-out times", Ced told a blogger who visited the DOLCE FAR NIENTE WELLNESS SPA branch in P. Victor St., corner Sampaguita St. Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati. "Most especially my girlfriend who's always stressed-out from her work at the Agency. So one time, we talked. Why not put-up our business, our own Spa? And with God's Will, after two weeks of planning to put-up our own Spa, the Quezon City branch was born. It's located at Road 3, Project 6, Quezon City. And soon, everything went-on fast. We've been having many demands, many requests for home service, many clients. It all went fully well.

"Kapag nandito kami sa Spa namin, parang nasa ibang mundo na kami ng girlfriend ko", Ced continued to say. "We're totally hibernating and recharging here, even for a short time. Because you see, aside from our Spa and Massage services, we also have Foot Spa, Nails, and the likes. That's why our regular customers who comes over here, they enjoy the packages we offer at the Spa.

"But  one thing's good about our Spa that makes us different from all the rest is, there's NO EXTRA SERVICE at our Spa. I guess, you know hat I mean, Robert. We want our Spa to be decent and wholesome and clean. It's the biggest rule of our Spa, our Therapists know that", he said.

According to Ced, one hour of a good massage is already equivalent to 8 full hours of sleep.

"Because it totally relaxes your body", Ced quipped. "It recharges your spirit, communes with your soul. Definitely, a good break from a stressful life we all live in."

DOLCE FAR NIENTE. What does it mean, by the way?

"It means 'the sweetness of doing nothing'...", Lee, the girlfriend of Ced, butted in. "It took us for quite a while of the name we'll gonna give to our Spa. We Googled and Googled for the right names and the right words. Until I saw it- the 'Sweetness of Doing Nothing', which in Italian words are: DOLCE FAR NIENTE.

"What makes our Spa different from all the rest? Well, I could say that our Spa is totally clean, and it's neat, it's also not dark, you won't be afraid to go in once you entered our Spa. Plus the fact that all our Therapists have licenses and certificates. We are very legal. And me and my boyfriend Ced are both very hands-on in this business of ours. We do it ourselves. I for one, I personally buy the oils being used during morning time. And evening time, it's Ced's turn to shift-in,"Lee Ann concluded saying.

Celebrity clients like Ms. Gloria Diaz, Ejay Falcon, Junjun Quintana, Mike Flores, talent manager Ricky Gallardo, and others more are frequent habitues to the Spa's services. Most of the times, they would ask for the Spa's therapists to come-over on their residences or their gyms to have those relaxing massages.
