LANCE RAYMUNDO AND GERALD SANTOS MODELS FOR A SPECIAL BRAND OF SKIN CARE...

It was an awesome photo shoot that transpired recently in a Fab hotel just recently. And among the models were two singers- one a recording singer from Viva Records and will soon promote his third single, and the other, an international Broadway star who just got back home and will soon act with Ms. Lea Salonga in a Tony-award-winning play. Together with them is a bunch of veteran actresses, models, and other well-known celebrities.

YES, LANCE RAYMUNDO AND GERALD SANTOS IN ONE GREAT PICTORIAL FOR A SPECIAL BRAND OF SKIN CARE.

Awesome. This is the very first time that Lance and Gerald, both singers, posed together for an amazing photo shoot. (And how we wish, they appear also together in a back-to-back concert soon. Why not? Am I right, Doc Rommel and Viva Records people?) They both looked extremely handsome and every inch, a model! Wow.

They wore both wore decent white polo shirts on one peg of the shoot, and on the other peg, they changed wardrobes again. Lance also posed with another male model and a female model in swimming pool backdrop, showing-off his great body forms.

The photo shoot of Lance and Gerald is going to be used in some Billboards all-over Metro Manila, and some for advertising purposes. The skin care brand is Skin Aesthetic Lifestyle. 

"It's fun, it's like doing again the thing that I am used to", Lance told a blogger. "You see, Robert, I started it out as a Levi's model. All my co-models at Levi's also made names of their own now as celebrities. Modelling is also one aspect of my personality that many people never were aware of. And I feel good doing it again now."

And Gerald?

"Wow, it's a good breaker for me", Gerald revealed to a blogger. "This is something new. I have been singing abroad the past few years, and modelling a skin care brand this time, iba, eh. I love it!"

GERALD SANTOS AT LEA SALONGA: BUKOD SA SWEET NA SWEET NGAYON SA ISA'T-ISA, MAGKAKASAMA PA SA DULANG SWEENEY TODD!

Huwag naman po sanang bigyan ng malisya ng iba ang titulo ng aming artikulo. Hindi porke't sweet sa isa't-isa ngayon ang mga Broadway stars na sin Lea Salonga at Gerald Santos, eh, may ibig nang sabihin 'yun. Sa mga makikitid ang pag-iisip diyan, hindi po kami gumagawa ng tsismis! The title simply suggests na sweet sa isa't-isa ngayon sina Lea at Gerald dahil pareho silang nakasama sa hit musical Broadway play na Miss Saigon, and with that reason alone, 'yung friendship nila ay mas nagkaroon ng iba't-ibang kulay.

Lea looks at Gerald as a younger brother and younger colleague also in the singing profession. At ang paghanga nila sa isa't-isa bilang magagaling na performers ang siyang naging dahilan kung bakit tunay naman silang sweet na sweet talaga sa isa't-isa. Hindi ba, Oliver Oliveros?

Sa totoo lang kasi, marami ngayon ang nakakapuna ng pagiging sweet sa isa't-isa nina Gerald at Lea. Hindi na maikukubli o made-deny pa iyon. Kalimitan kasi, mga media people na ang nakakapuna.

"It's an honor on my part na maging sweet po sa akin si Lea", very humble namang nabanggit ni Gerald sa isang blogger. "She's like an elder sister to me who supports me, boosts me up, lifts me up and cheers me up. She also writes me beautiful notes every now and then that further inspires me to do my best. Ang sarap palang maging ka-close at kaibigan ang isang Lea Salonga!"

Sa mga taong hindi pa kasi nakakaalam, si Lea ay gumanap na Kim sa Miss Saigon ng kung ilang taon, at si Gerald naman ay Thuy sa last previous years ng Miss Saigon UK Tour. Pareho nang recognized international Broadway talents ang dalawang ito.

And the good news is, magkakasama na for the first time sina Gerald at Lea sa dulang Sweeney Todd ng Atlantis Theatrical. Sa buwan ng Oktubre itatanghal ang dula sa Solaire Theater. In-announce na formally ng mga taga-Atlantis Theatrical ang balitang ito at tunay na marami ang nalugod at nasiyahan. 

"How cool is that! I will be working with Lea Salonga in this play, and Lea is one of my inspirations talaga sa career ko", nasabi pa ni Gerald. "Sobrang challenge ulit ito sa akin. Tiyak niyan, na bukod sa challenges, I will also be very happy working with Lea and the rest of the cast and staff of Sweeney Todd."

Masasabi ni Gerald, ang pagganap bilang Anthony Hope sa dulang Sweeney Todd ang magsisilbing biggest theater role niya to date sa bansang Pilipinas.

"Kakaiba kasi ang papel na iyon, dahil ang dulang Sweeney Todd ay isang Tony-award-winning play", huling sabi ni Gerald. "I simply promise to give all my best. Ayokong mag-fail ang napakataas nilang expectations nila sa akin ngayon."

Isa pa lamang ito sa magagandang pangyayari na maganap kay Gerald. Definitely, more to come .... SOON!

"Hindi ako nagsasalita kapag may mga performances kami sa Miss Saigon, ni hindi ko kinakausap ang mga kasama ko, kasi mauubos ang boses ko!"--- gerald santos

GEALD: HANEP ANG PORMA!

Sa dami ng mga naging performances ni Gerald Santos sa Miss Saigon UK tour, talagang kamangha-mangha kung iisipin mo- na, kung paano pa rin niya na-retain ang napakagandang kalidad ng kanyang tinig. 

"Imagine po, Tito Robert, we have eight shows and performances in a week", nasabi ni Gerald sa kanyang kaibigang blogger nu'ng nagdaang press conference para sa kanyang homecoming concert. "Halfway along the eight performances, talagang halos mawalan na ako ng boses. Very strenuous po kasi and hectic ang bawat performances namin.

"Kaya ang ginagawa ko, every after our performance at pag-uwi sa tinutuluyan namin, hindi na po ako nagsasalita kasi takot akong mawalan ng boses", dugtong ni Gerald. "Ni hindi ko kinakausap ang mga kasamahan ko and co-actors ko. Nawi-'weirduhan' tuloy sila sa akin. Tinitipid ko kasi ang boses ko, baka maubos, e. Hahaha!"

Hindi naman nagulat ang mga media people sa naging revelation ni Gerald kung paano niya na-preseve ang kanyang boses while on Miss Saigon UK Tour. Kasi, ganu'n din pala si Lea Salonga nuong gumanap naman itong si Kim sa Miss Saigon din. Hindi rin ito nagsasalita right after every performance.

Samantala, isang movie columnist naman, in person of Rodel Ocampo Fernando ang nakapansin ng husto sa "looks" ni Gerald nung hapon na iyon sa kanyang press con.

"Gerald, ang guwapo-guwapo mo!", sabi ni Rodel, na imbes magtanong ay walang nasabi sa mikropono kundi ang i-express ang kanyang nararamdaman for Gerald. Pero sinang-ayunan naman ng lahat ang naturan ni Rodel. Tunay namang kaibig-ibig ang kaguwapuhan ni Gerald nu'ng hapon na iyon na muli niyang nakasama ang mga press people.

Kauuwi lang niya mula sa Europe at kakabalik lang sa Pilipinas. Sa Germany sila huling nag-tour at 'yun nga, finally, it's over. Tapos na ang stint ni Gerald sa Miss Saigon UK tour, tapos na rin ang kontrata.

"Pero there are hearsays po na malamang na magkaroon din kami ng Miss Saigon Australia tour", dugtong ni Gerald. "The same cast, crew and staff din po ang kasama sa Australia tour ng Miss Saigon. Hopefully po, matuloy. Kung hindi man, marami pong horizons ngayon sa buhay ko ang kino-conquer ko. And they are all pretty exciting.

"Nag-audition po ako sa ilang international movies, sa Net Flix, TV dramas and the likes", dugtong pa ni Gerald. "May talent agent na po kasi kaming naghahanap sa amin na projects sa Hollywoord. Halos lahat po ng major cast sa Miss Saigon, madami pong nag-apply na agents sa amin."

Wala pang balitang natatanggap si Gerald kung makakasali naman siya sa isang pang classic Broadway play na The King And I.

"Opo, nag-audition din po ako sa The King & I", sagot ni Gerald. "Pero wala pa po kaming natatanggap na feedback. Wala pa po silang sinasabi kung makakapasok ako sa cast."

Sa Homecomg Concert ni Gerald entitled Gerald Santos: The Homecomg Concert, magiging guests niya ang mga Filipino performers na nakasama din sa cast ng Miss Saigon present and past. Sila ay sina Leo Valdez, Aicelle Santos at Joreen Bautista. Na bale ang pinaka-highlight sa homecoming concert ni Gerald ay ang pag-awit nilang apat ng mga excerpts sa Miss Saigon at sa ilan pang mga hit Broadway musicals.

Ang homecoming concert ni Gerald ay produced ng Media Biz Entertainmenmt Productions, na pag-aari ng magandang producer na si  Ms. Mellany Zambrano.

"Na-miss ko po kayong lahat", pagtatapos na wika ni Gerald. "And I miss the Filipino audience here sa sarili kong bansa. Actually, pareho namang warm and loving ang both Filipino and international audience. Pero iba pa rin po kapag kapwa Pilipino mo ang mga nanonood sa iyo. Mas masarap po sa pakiramdam. Dahil maski gaano man kalayo ang marating ko, mananatiling Pilipino pa rin ako."

Talagang dapat ka ngang mahalin, Gerald Santos.

"Puwedeng-puwede ka talaga", veteran movie entertainment writer and critic Mario Bautista attested right in front of international Broadway actor and singer Gerald Santos. "You perfectly fit the character of an international actor and singer. You can pass a role in Hamilton or any kind of an international Broadway play like what you did in Miss Saigon. Congrats to you, Gerald."

Great writers and columnists seated beside a blogger, in persons of Mr. Ricky Lo (Entertainment Editor of Philippine Star) and Jojo Panaligan (Entertainment Editor of Manila Bulletin) did fully agree about what Mario E. Bautista has said about Gerald.

This writer/blogger (me.--rms***) told to Ricky Lo: "Nakakapangilabot. Bihirang pumuri at magsalita ng ganyan si Mario E. Bautista. When he speaks, he really means it. Wow, I'm so proud about Gerald!"

"He's a very nice person, very thoughtful to media people's feelings", Ricky Lo told to the blogger. "Gerald deserves all these accolades."

That was the press conference for Gerald's Homecoming concert. Held at the very cozy place of Oriental Palace restaurant in Tomas Morato Ave., a great lunch of Mandarin Chinese food was served. So elite and Avant Garde. What a wonderful and delightful treat from the producers of Gerald's concert - Media Biz of Ms. Mellany Zambrano.

The P.R, man of the press conference was another veteran writer- Mr. Nestor Cuartero. He was very gentle and warm  to all the press people who attended the event.

Gerald's manager, Mr. Rommel Ramilo, together with Gerald's official make-up artist Teddy Mendoza and Mrs. Ramilo (Rommel's mom), were also present at the event.

After two years of performing as Thuy at the Miss Saigon UK Tour and more than 500 performances there, Gerald was finally home. And now, in his homecoming concert entitled Gerald Santos: The Homecoming Concert- he will show to everyone the PROXIMITY OF HIS GRANDEUR AND MAGNITUDE.

On May 4, 2019, at the Solaire Theatre, let's all embrace back and love Gerald in one spectacular concert. A Filipino like us, he will simply show to everyone that...

Yes po, gaya ng mga naisulat na, finally ay natapos na rin ni Gerald ang stint niya sa Miss Saigon UK Tour, kung saan ay marami siyang pinahanga sa iba't-ibang parte ng mundo sa pagganap niya bilang si Thuy- isang tragic character sa nasabing hit broadway Musical play. "Kaya sobrang grand event iyan sa aming lahat!!!", huling sambit pa ng manager ni gerald. "Tiyak niyan, walang katapusang akapan, halikan, iyakan ang magaganap. Na-miss kasi ng husto ng New Solid team gerald fans ang kanilang idolo."

Balita pa namin, may ire-reveal ding sorpresa si Gerald para sa lahat,. Bukod ito sa Grand Homecoming concert niya sa May 4 na gaganapin sa Solaire. Kaya abangan na lang natin. Go! Go! Go!!!!
