Kaya naman, meeting in person the very individual who's now responsible in further promoting the ARTS to the people of Nueva Ecija was one great honor and privilege for this blogger. He exuded in us a great aura of leadership, brilliance and magnificence. And at once, through his words as he spoke, we learned so much and gained wisdom.

Over lunch at the Office of the Mayor's dining room, we further got a chance to know him better.
He's no less than Mr. Armando Giron, the Head of Nueva Ecija's Council for History, Culture & the Arts.

Robert Silverio (R.S.): Being the soul and the head of History, Culture and the Arts for the whole province of Nueva Ecija, can you please share to us the hugeness of your responsibilities to fellow Novo Ecijanos?

Armando Giron (A.G.): Being the head of the N.E. Council for History , Culture and the Arts is a profound position. It is a job putting together the Brilliant Minds and talents of the province. Culture , History and the Arts are continuously evolving, no stopping, They are a process for a change, for excellence of the past, present and the future. We need people from the Academe, Various Art Group and institution, New breed of Historians , Storytellers and private sectors,in the world of today. Empowering newness approach in the Millenial

point of view, in perspective, I can't answer how vast the responsibility? But How much time and love I can give and share. No boundaries, but there is a concrete direction to inject 'newness' and collaboration of a beautiful promise of the future.

R.S.: Do you think that the province of Nueva Ecija is so low key when it comes to greatness and richness? Wherein as I experienced it myself, Novo Ecijanos are very artistic and passionate people that coincides with the aura of Nueva Ecija. Why do they remain so low key, sir? The 'goldmines', literally speaking, are there!

A.G.: In General, Novo Ecijanos excels in many areas of society. We produce great artists today in the international Arena of Fine Arts. Rafael Cusi just arrived from Germany, Edwin Wilwayco’s works are in the best galleries in The US, Pamela Gotangco Hupp in Europe and Canada, to name a few. Some may not shine but there is a season for readiness.Time gives a lot of surprises. We have what it takes to capture the world.

More trainings, workshops, thorough empowering and partnerships with the best agencies to give additional materials for Art advancement in all areas of Fine Arts.

R.S.: What can you say about your recent event at General Tinio entitled BIYAYA NG SINING? And no less than the world-renowned painter- Mr. Rafael Cusi was there to teach young artists at General Tinio the Art of Painting, alongside with other training teachers in Acting Workshop and Festival Management. You were also the one brought Mr. Cusi there at the event.

A.G.: General Tinio, dreams and aims High , Having a great leader, comes with the best people. Reflections I would say.

They aspire for greatness and positioning in themselves and the whole province. Very inspiring. We need role models that they can relate to, and painter Rafael Cusi delivered it to them. The other trainors gave what they deserved, the rest is on the people to do their part. It is a continued process to achieve excellence.

R.S.: What are your lasting impressions to the Mayor of General Tinio, no less than Mayor Ferdinand Bote?

Mayor Ferdinand Bote, is a fine man, result oriented

and he knows firmly his Style of Governance. The most fascinating about the man, he believes in an individuality of a talent. He is open to deliver what is best for his town, so remarkable ,

R.S.: Your heavenly garden in Nueva Ecija- the Giron Botanic Gardens- is being much talked-about lately. Can you tell us more about it, sir Armando?

A.G.: Giron Botanic is a garden that expressed the way I live my life, so simple but very embracing, It is a place that's so quiet and relaxing . The plants are like an orchestra singing and playing, an Artistry of Garden Design, and the media started to notice it. A product of who I am.

R.S.: What do you see about the very great artistic potentials of the people in Nueva Ecija?

Time dictates one’s greatness, but believe me, there are a lot of talented Novo Ecijanos just waiting for them to shine. The whole province is an art, our landscape, our mountains and lakes, our products. All are 'Fashioned by Time'.

If Boracay has white sands, Nueva Ecija has white Rice, the food of the Philippines and Asia, so blessed.

Not to forget my own town Bongabon, you should visit us. We have the Onion Gallery, the only one in this world.

R.S.: What are the other projects that you're currently busy with nowadays, Mr. Giron?

A.G.: This coming 2 months we have a schedule to focus Nueva Ecija in Travel Art, and the city of Cabanatuan will be showcased tomorrow. More and more workshops for Festival Management and Cultural mappings for the neighboring towns and the province as a whole. Dance, Music & Theater will follow, depending on LGU's support with their corresponding mayors. More and more exciting projects to excite everyone, wait for this in the near future. Surprise!

R.S.: Your BFF (Best Friend Forever) is no less than the painter Rafael 'Popoy' Cusi. What can you say about him?

Rafael Cusi is a genius, so overpowering, calm and humble. He is an old soul that we became friends in almost 2 (two) decades now. I love his works and continuously learning and reinventing. A trait of a Master, he exudes greatness.

R.S.: As one person who greatly loved, supported and valued ART, can you say by now that you cannot live without ART?

A.G.: True to your question, My life is an Art, I inhale and exhale the beauty of God’s Creation, I live in this environment, solely, and I am privileged to express 'oneness' of life with Nature and what she can give. An Artistry Beyond the Senses, a play of colors, feelings and Artistry of wonders, a magical life.

R.S.: My last question is this: How would you love to spread ART all-over Nueva Ecija?

A.G.: I do and will, Nueva Ecija deserves the best. She will shine and she will have her time, I promise my self to share its beauty, Culture and art to the world.

"Anak, iwanan ka man ng buong mundo, nandito pa rin ako", nasabi 'yan minsan ng isang nanay ng isang great explorer na narating ang tutok ng Mount Everest.
Nabasa ko ang kuwentong iyon sa isang lumang issue ng National Geographic magazine. Ukol iyon sa isang explorer na kakaakyat pa lang sa tutok ng Mt. Everest. Pag-uwi niya, sinalubong siya ng lahat ng importanteng tao sa kanilang bayan, mga media people, mga dating kaibigan, ng mga sikat na celebrities. Nu'ng makita siya ng mga ito, initsa-itsa siya sa ere na parang teddy bear, pinag-akapan, hinalikan, ipinagmalaki sa bawat isa...
Hanggang sa nakita niya ang kanyang ina buhat sa di-kalayuan. Hindi ito lumalapit sa kanya. Basta nakatingin lang.
Doon niya naramdaman, kulang pa siya. Na hindi pa siya tuluyang MASAYA. Not until maakap niya ang kanyang INA.
At lumapit siya ng dahan-dahan sa ina niya. Inakap siya nito, sabay sabing; "Ikaw pa rin ang maliit na baby boy ko."
Doon na napahagulgol ng husto ang explorer. At naalala niya minsan ang sinabi sa kanya ng kanyang ina: "Anak, iwanan ka man ng buong mundo, nandito pa rin ako."

Naroon ako sa harap ng mga batang acting workshop participants ko nu'ng hapon na iyon sa General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. Yun din ang araw na ikinuwento ko sa kanila ang istorya na iyon ukol sa isang explorer. Pero ang nakaka-sorpresa, imbis na sila ang mapaiyak ko sa araw na iyon, ako ang napaiyak sa harap nila. damang-dama ko kasi ang istorya na ikinuwento ko sa kanila.

Nu'ng nagdaang araw kasi, ako lang yata ang hindi umiyak sa isang mabigat na drama exercise na ibinigay ko sa kanila, Lahat sila, napaiyak ko, pati na ang Workshop facilitator na si Dave Macariola.

Sapat na siguro 'yun para sabihin ko sa sarili ko na isa rin pala akong magaling na teacher sa acting. Nakakataba ng puso na 'yung mga batang participants sa workshop, sila ang pinaka-excited at pinaka-active sa tatlong araw ng workshop. Sila din ang pinaka-cooperative. At napakahuhusay nilang lahat.

Habang kaharap ko sila, feeling ko, nanay na nanay ako. Isang nanay na nagtuturo ng mga artistikong bagay para sa kanyang mga anak. At mga anak na nakikinig, dinadama ang lahat ng mga salitang lumalabas sa kaibuturan ng aking puso sa tuwing magsasalita ako.

Kaya ngayon, nagpapasalamat ako ng husto kay Mayor Ferdinand Bote sa pagpapaunlak niya na makapag-workshop ako sa kanyang mga kababayan. Isang malaking pribelehiyo na makahanay ako sa mga tulad nina Rafael Cusi (isang world-renowned painter), Armando C. Giron (ang head ng Culture & Arts sa buong Nueva Ecija) at Armando Sta, Ana (isang direktor sa Malolos, Bulacan). Dahil sa 3-day event na ginanap sa BIYAYA NG SINING festival sa General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, sila ang mga nakasama ko at nagutro kami ng iba't-ibang alay ng Sining para sa mga kabataan ng General Tinio.

'Yun bang akapin ka ng batang si Jill (apo ni Meyor Bote) at ibulong sa iyo: "Salamat po, Sir. Thank you po sa lahat ng mga itinuro mo."

Sapat na nga ang lahat. Halos mapaiyak na ako. O kaya, 'yung lapitan ka sa tuwina ng mga bata at tingnan ka ng buong pagmamahal, tuwa, paghanga. Oo, sapat na nga ang lahat.

ANG SARAP NG SINING! IBABALIK NIYA SA IYO ANG GANDA NG BUHAY AT YAMAN NG PUSO!

Totoo nga yata 'yan. Dahil naramdaman ko iyan sa aking maikling paglalakbay sa General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. At napuna ko pa, napaka-'low key' man ng bayang ito, narito naman ang lahat ng MINA- sa mas malalalim pang mga kadahilanan, kagalingan at artistikong mga binhi ng sankatauhan.

Isa po sa tatlong events sa naturang three-day development affair sa itaas ay ang acting worshop para sa edad 6-25 na may tanging ganda o kakayahan para sa pag-arte. Ang mga work shoppers po ay magkakaroon ng recital play sa gabi ng Mayo 28, 2018 sa municipal gym. Sa araw din pong iyon ay may exhibit naman yong mga workshoppers sa painting at drawing (pati na yata yung sa street dancing?).

Ang acting trainor po ay si Robert Manuguid Silverio, isang movie writer turned blogger and publicist. Malawak na po ang kaniyang karanasan sa acting workshop na pinahusay pa ng kaniyang close association sa pumanaw na pamosong director Mario Delos Reyes.

Siya ang nasa solong larawan. Kasama naman niya sa ibang litrato ang mga popular na showbiz personalities.

YOGO: Masaya po, naka-graduate na ako. Hayun po.

SWORDSHINES10: Ano na ang next project mo sa channel 2 at ano ginawa mo nu'ng vacation mo?

YOGO: Wala pa po pero i'm willing to wait naman po kung ano dumating na project po sa akin.

Hayun okay naman po, vacation kami sa Zambales province po kami nakarating. Isa sa malapit na friends po namin yung nag-invite samen po du'n. Ang saya po kase nag-attend pa kami procession po do'n tapos. swimming. Basta ang saya!!

Bilang kapamilya po masaya po ako sa pag-aalaga sa akin ng network,ng channel 2 po. Kahit minsan, wala po. Minsan, meron. Pero gano'n po talaga, kelangan maghintay kung ano po ibigay nila. Mahal ko po Abs-Cbn kase sa kanila naman po talaga ako nag-start. Sa Star Circle Kids Quest at first teleserye ko po sa kanila 'yung young Gerald Anderson din po ako, sa teleseryeng Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo po. Hayun masaya po, kase naging first big role ko sa Abs Cbn yung Wako Wako na TV show naman po. Masaya din po ako sa mga young roles ko din sa channel 2, kase 'di lang basta-basta yung nabibigay nila po sa akin. As in, young na magagandang role po talaga. Thank you sa channel 2 kase kahit papa'no po, kinukuha pa din naman po nila ko, especially 'yung Dreamscape Productions nila, Madami pinag-young-an ko sa kanila po. Willing po ako mag-wait kung kelan po ako magka-project sa Kapamilya network po,tito Robert. Sana,hindi po magtagal.

SWORDSHINES10: Nami-miss mo pa rin ba si daddy Maryo J. delos Reyes mo?

YOGO: Sobrang miss na miss ko na po si daddy Mj ko. As in, miss na miss po. Kung may powers nga lang po ako na makita sya at makausap po siguro yun,- 'yun ang gagawin ko po- ang kausapin sya at makita siya. Kase hayun miss ko na po s'ya. Lagi sya dumadaan sa panaginip ko. 3x times na po. Lagi sya nakatingin sa akin. Minsan, nasa malayo lang s'ya tapos, dinala n'ya ako sa napakagandang lugar puro sariwa yung mga grass..., Tapos, hayun nakahawak s'ya sa akin at ipinapasyal n'ya ako sa isang bundok. Pero patay na s'ya sa panaginip ko at nagpakita lang s'ya sa panaginip po. Tapos, hayun, sabi n'ya may hinihintay siyang sundo nya po- kapatid n'ya. Tapos, nag-hug sya sa akin daw at nag-kiss lagi sa head ko tapos, aalis na daw s'ya po.
'Yung dati, gano'n din, sabi naman n'ya aalis na s'ya tapos nagbago bigla-sabi nya, hindi na s'ya aalis at babantayan na lang daw nya ako, pero sabi ko malaki na ako. daddy. Kaya ko na sarili ko- umalis ka na, daddy, okay na ako....Sagot niya: Okay daw pupunta na s'ya sa heaven tapos, yakap ng yakap sa akin at kiss ng kiss bago sya umalis.
Paggising ko, tumulo luha ko. Pakiramdam ko talaga, totoo! Hindi panaginip po! Umiyak ako kase nakaka-miss po talaga si daddy MJ.

'Yung natutulog ako sa Filinvest house n'ya minsan, sa tabi n'ya ako natutulog, minsan sa kuwarto ni Tito Jake sa office n'ya. Tapos, magpapaluto si daddy ng breakfast namin. Ginigising ako ni Ate Lisa para ako ang unang maligo kase paggising ni daddy s'ya na gagamit ng shower. Hayun, tapos sabay kami kakain at aalis ng bahay n'ya. Nami-miss ko amoy ni daddy- yung mabango lagi tapos, kapag pawis na pawis s'ya sa taping nya. At saka, kapag bini-visit ko s'ya sa location nya, ay dinadalhan ko siya ng pagkain.

SWORDSHINES10: Nadalaw mo na ba ule sa himlayan ng ashes niya ang daddy MJ mo?

YOGO: After nu'ng graduation ko, dinalaw ko s'ya sa Himlayan Pilipino. Du'n ako tumuloy sa kanya kase para sa kanya 'yung diploma ko at nag-thank you po ako sa kanya na dumating sya sa buhay ko at nakilala ko bilang daddy ng 11 years po pala s'ya na naging daddy ko. Sayang lang at wala na po s'ya. Sobrang hirap pa din ako maniwalang wala na s'ya kase sariwa pa lahat po lalo na po mga pics n'ya, pag nakikita ko, buhay na buhay po talaga pics nya. Daming bagay na kapag nakikita ko na alam kong gamit ni daddy like sa mga sasakyan n'yang ginagamit kapag nakakakita ako kagaya ng car nya po, hayun nami-miss ko s'ya. 'Yung office n'ya kapag nadaan ako sa lugar na 'yun, sobrang nagpapaalala po s'ya sa akin. Lagi, naiiyak po ako at natutungo na lang at pinipikit ko mga mata ko po. Iniisip ko s'ya kung kumusta sya po, kung nakikita n'ya ba ako ngayon. 'Yung mga kinakainan n'yang resto na kasama ako minsan, hayun nakaka-miss po, sobra!
Lalo napo sa Max's resto sa Roces Avenue, don ako nag-bday nung 10 years old ako. Nando'n sila ni Tito Jake until matapos bday ko po hindi nila ko iniwan. At saka, fave resto yun ni daddy. Lahat ng place na connected kay daddy MJ ko na kasama ako, naiiyak ako pag nakikita ko po, puma-flashback yung bababay pa ako sa kanya after. Since nakilala ko s'ya ay lagi n'ya ako hawak sa kamay ko...
Daddy, sana kung nakikita mo ako, alam mo na 'yun, daddy. Kung gaano kahirap tanggapin ang wala ka na. Kung may daddy pa ako na makikilala, ikaw pa din ang gusto kong maging daddy. Wala kang katulad, dad MJ.
'Yung iba-iba iniisip nila sa 'yo sa pagiging daddy mo sa akin, madumi utak nila daddy! Ngayon, dad, maski na wala ka na ay sasabihin ko na po sa mga madudumi 'yung utak na mali sila sa mga iniisip nila. Matagal ko po itong itinago kase ayaw ni daddy ng nagpapadala ako sa mga sabi sabi!
Si daddy MJ po malinis intention n'ya sa akin sa paggiging daddy n'ya sa akin po. 'Yung totoo po, ia-adopt nila sana nila ako ni Tito Jake bilang totoong anak ni daddy MJ ko. Naka-ready na po papers no'n, pero nagka-problema po sa mom ko. Nagka-misunderstanding lang po sila ni mama ko.
'Yung totoo kasi, ayaw ako ni mama na ipa-adopt po kay daddy kase buhay pa naman daw s'ya pero, sabi ni mom ko, pag nawala s'ya, hayun ibibigay n'ya ako kay daddy MJ dahil mabait si daddy at alam n'ya na gaanon kabait si daddy MJ at pinagkatiwala n'ya ako kay daddy po, mula nu'ng 4 years old pa lang ako ay lagi na ako kay daddy.
Natutulog at pinapahiram ako sa kanya ni mama kase masaya si daddy sa akin at natutuwa po s'ya sa akin kapag nakikita n'ya ako. Every weekend po nuon, na kay daddy MJ ako. Sa mga nag-iisip ng maduduming utak sa paggiging daddy sa akin ni daddy MJ, nagkakamali kayo ng iniisip n'yo. Kung ano man yun alam ni God, 'yun na isang tunay na anak po talaga 'yung turing sa akin ni daddy at ako po bilang naging anak n'ya, hayun sobrang hindi ko s'ya makakalimutan hanggang sa magka-pamilya po ako. Sobrang mahal na mahal ko po si daddy MJ at miss na miss ko na po s'ya. Habang sinasagot ko 'tong question na po na ito, hindi ko po mapigilang 'di maiyak. I dunno', siguro miss ko lang sya. Sina daddy MJ and Tito Jake-, I love you both! Miss you both po. Sana maging masaya na po kayo kung nasaan man po kayo. Sana kasama n'yo na po talaga si God. Sana nasa heaven na po kayo. Lagi po ako nagpi-pray para sa inyo at mag-iingat pa din po kayo lagi, ha! Forever love ko kayo lagi ny'o pa din ako i-guide, dad, ha. Daddy i love you, daddy!☝🙏❤️

YOGO: Oo naman po. Kahit ano'ng role po, kaya ko. Hindi po ako namimili ng role ko, kung ano dumating sige-sige lang po. Kahit na hubad pa 'yan po. LOL!!!😂😂✌ Para mas ma-challenge ako. Hahahaha. Trabaho lang po walang personalan.

They are all achievers in their own ways. And most of them, very respected people in the music world- veterans, as we say.

In a world where Music never fades, these people are the ones who protects them. Preserving true Filipino Music like the old traditional Filipino folk songs, old Filipino classic songs, Kundiman songs, and the likes.

Through their weekly radio program at DWBL, every Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., their voices could be heard, most of all, at the Finale part of the program wherein they all sing together in unison. The 4-S PAMILYA of Ms. Tessie Lagman-Balboa (the female Captain of the ship), never fails to enthrall all their listeners, and even their regular viewers at Facebook Live and YouTube.

They are all ANGELS. Selected upon to serenade people, every Sunday noon, and, as they sing, you would embrace all the more the wonderment of Music, and the Spirit that lives on as Filipinos who have loved Melodies & Lyrics since time Eternal.

TESSIE LAGMAN- The radio icon and a contemporary of other radio greats, Ms. Tessie Lagman maintained until now her great career in radio broadcasting. She also became one of the top recording singers of Grandeur records during the '70's and '80's. She's a staunch supporter of Kundiman songs.

madame ray lucero

RAY LUCERO- The true veteran in the field of singing. Now in her eighties' years of age, she's still an active member of the world-renowned Mabuhay Singers. A great vocal coach and teacher. She knows the very deep roots of Philippine Music.

corazon

CORAZON GARCIA- She's one of the early products of the famous 'Eskuwelahang Munti' radio program during the late '70's. Also a former recording executive who worked for Alpha Records, Corazon's love for singing and music never fails.

DOLLY FAVORITO- A contemporary of Esperanza Fabon, Ms. Nora Aunor, Danny Cruz, Perla Adea, and the likes, Dolly used to be one of the famous female matinee idols in the radio world during the '70's. She's also a staunch supporter of old classical Filipino songs.

rafael

RAFAEL CENTENERA- He is called 'Mr. Romantiko' by fellow 4-S Pamilya members. A contemporary of singers like Florante and Freddie Aguilar, Rafael was a matinee idol of the mid-'80's. His handsomeness could still be seen up to now.

TONY SUVEGA- A Feng Shui expert and Psychic, this 4-S Pamilya member is very gentle, warm and a very kind person. His great talent in singing is utilized much now, for being one of the most active members of 4-S Pamilya.

CENEN GARCIA- The husband of Corazon Garcia and also the one who documents the radio program of 4-S Pamilya- "Sama-Sama, Salo-Salo" every Sunday at Facebook Live. His voice is very cool and manly.

EDDIE SUAREZ- The very good guitarist of 4-S Pamilya. He also sings songs.

VER DAYAP and NICK CORON- The other veteran members of 4-S Pamilya. They both have great singing voices.

REYMOND AGBADA- The handsome and irresistible Millenial male member of 4-S Pamilya. His voice is so soothing and igniting. We bet, this young man will go places.

HAZEL MAE URSAIS- She's a real belter and a sexy female singer. Also among the Millenial members of 4-S Pamilya. She's so good in singing jazz songs.

SAMMY RASCAL- Small but terrible. Also one of the Millenial members of 4-S Pamilya, Sammy reminds us of a young Nora Aunor. She's so good in singing high notes.

karl

KARL ANGELO SIPAT- One of the newest Millenial members of 4-S Pamilya. He's such a baby, but when he starts to sing, his manliness overpowers you. He's got his own great style in singing.

REYNELYN MERCADO- She's the newest member of 4-S Pamilya. And what a true pro, she continued singing one time even the Music faded out. Great.

SO THERE. They are the 4-S PAMILYA members. They have had four major concerts already and many event-appearances to date. Catch them every Sunday at the radio show of Ms. Tessie Lagman-Balboa's "Sama-Sama, Salo-Salo". Every Sunday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DWBL.
