Kaya huwag na kayong magrunung-runungan diyan. Hindi kasama sa formula ng isang succesful film in the making ang mga balitang kaparte o naging "spice" para maging kasabik-sabik ang pelikula ninyo. Hindi na kailangang hintayin pa ang "one week before the actual showing" bago isulat ang mga dapat isulat ukol sa pelikula! Sa Hollywood nga, eh,. one year ang promo period! Isang taon nang sinusulat ang mga detalye ukol sa pelikula at bago pa man mai-showing ang pelikula, naisulat na taaga nang matagal na ang mga exciting details ukol sa movie!!!!

SO, MANAHIMIK NA KAYONG LAHAT DIYAN, PLEASE.

Anyway, 'yun nga, si Tita Tessie, kasama ang kanyang '4-S' barkada ay nagkaroon ng two shooting days sa pelikulang Sinandomeng. Sila bale ang mga kakanta ng Kundiman songs sa pelikula. Una silang kumanta sa isang lamay scene ng movie kung saan namatay ang asawa ni Sue prado na si Julio Diaz sa pelikula. At panagalawa naman ay nu'ng libing na ni Julio Diaz, kumanta ule sina Tessie Lagman. In case you don't know kasi, ang pelikulang Sinandomeng ay ukol sa mga magsasaka. At si Sue ang babaeng magsasaka na bida sa pelikula na nging biyuda dahil namatayan ng asawa. Ang barkada nina Tessie Lagman ang magpapa-aliw kay Sue sa gitna ng pagluluksa via their Kundiman songs. Kundi man aliwin, lalong paiyakin.

"Buti naman at nabibigyan na nila ng pansin ngayon ang mga Kundiman songs", wika ni Tita Tessie sa isang blogger. "Bigla tuloy nabuhay ang 4-S barkada ko, para kaming nag-resurrect lahat. Ang saya-saya namin during the shooting as we all sang Kundiman songs altogether.

"It's high time, I think, na ma-appreciate na rin ng mga kabataan ngayon ang Kundiman songs", dugtong na sabi pa ni Tessie. "Actually, sa obserbasyon ko, feel na feel naman ng mga millenials ang Kundiman songs, eh. Kapag napapakinggan nila, sinasabayan nila. Gusto nilang matutunan kantahin. Siguro instinct na iyon para sa kanila. Kasi, lahat tayo ay Pilipino, may pagmamahal sa sarili nating musika, lupa at mga kababayan."

Napanood pa ng isang blogger ang isa sa shooting days nina Tita Tessie sa said film. Talagang binusisi iyon ni direk Byron Bryant na siyang direktor ng pelikula. May mga tight shots na overpowering ang dating, at may mga wide shots din na very artistic. Isa ito sa mga aabangan naming eksena sa pelikula.

Ang Sinandomeng ay mapapanood sa buwan ng Hulyo, kaalinsabay ng TOFARM Film Festival film screenings na kung saan ay isa ito sa mga film entries ng nabanggit na pestibal.

IRRESISTIBLE ORLANDO

Actor, model and singer Orlando Sol, a member of the Masculados group, is now embarking on a solo career as an artist as he launches his first-ever album and takes the lead in an online romantic-drama series.

His album entitled "Emosyon" features five original HUGOT love songs, composed by Jerwin Nicomedez. This will be distributed under Star Music.

Asiode from this, Orlando leads in Star Music's first online drama series called KAILAN DARATING ANG AYOKO NA?, which is also the titkle of the album's carrier single. The online drama seies started two weeks (two fridays back) and will be continuing onwards for two more weeks. 

Catherine Rem, Ruvy Cayetano and Blumark Roces join him in this highly anticipated, unconventional love triangle which is sure to go viral in the coming days. The five-part series is produced by Production 56 and is directed by Maryo J. delos reyes, the blockbuster director known for many hit films such as "The Unmarried Wife", "magnifico" and "A Love Story".

Star Music released the official music video of the HUGOT single "Kailan Darating Ang Ayoko Na" on YouTube.Com and on music channel MYX last week, serving as preview of the upcoming series and a teaser of the singer's ballad album,.

The actor-singer is excited for his lone venture in the music scene, rferring to this opportunity as an "accident". He was first introduced as a Masculados member eight years ago.

Gym mates. Martial Arts buddies. Coffee lovers. Diners partners. Travelling companions. You name it, BFF's Lance and Carlo were termed as those.

But honestly, at the start, Lance never really knew that Carlo also wanted to become an actor like him (except singing, maybe. because as carlo said to a blogger- "My voice sounds like a broken record when I sing". Hihihi.)

Respect, individuality, privacy and total freedom for each other's lives only made the friendship much stronger amidst the changing of the times. It grew along with it. And prospered with one another's great achievements in life.

Now that Lance had ventured into almost everything- modelling, singing, acting, hosting, performing in the theater scene, politics, and more- well, no need to mention that he is already way ahead of his buddy- no less than his cute, little friend named Carlo.

But carlo is fast catching-up. he invaded the theater scene in New York City, landed good roles in some quality-made indie films (just like Lance), studied in the famous Lee Strassberg acting school, and now landing a heavy part in an epic film soon to be shot here in the Philippines, what more can we say?

Both Lance and Carlo are both TRENDSETTERS, TOO, THAT, WE COULD SAY BY NOW.

"Lance is so protective of me at the start", Carlo once said to a blogger. "He only knew later that I was also into acting and he told me to be careful in the showbiz game. As a friend, he's very concerned. But he's always happy of all my accomplishments. We see to it to bond every time there's a free time for both of us. We both treasure this friendship."

And here's what lance has  to say:

"The friendship has withstood the test of time", Lance assured to a blogger. "It's because we both respect each other's decisions. You won't hear us saying anything negative to each other. When carlo was gone last year and left to the U.S. without saying a word to his closest friends like me and his family, we all were silent. It's because we respected his decision."

gerald santos: remembering that "something good" this way comes at his very first theater performance...

gerald: a place we all remember

There are places I remember...

Places that were kept deep within my heart.

People that mattered. People who supported. And people who achieved greater things in life.

Among them, was a boy I knew.

A boy who embraced me, not once, not thrice, but for so many times...

A boy about to took a sudden FLIGHT. Widening his horizons into far greater things...

And that boy's name: GERALD..... GERALD SANTOS.


I vividly remember, it was the month of December, year 2011 (wow, six years ago!-- robert*) that we first watched Gerald Santos in the theater scene, LIVE on stage, as we watched the play "Sino Ka Ba, Jose Rizal?" He played the role of Dr. Jose Rizal that time went. And it was truly unforgettable.

It was the time wherein I got bored writing gossip stuffs on tabloids or, simply riding-on with "commercialism". We wanted to see something deeper, or, write someone that could further ignite or artistic senses.

And we saw Gerald. We watched him. Perfect Timing.

Our zest for movie writing came back upon seeing Gerald acted on that play "Sino Ka Ba, Jose Rizal" by Gantimpala Theater Foundation and the last directorial job of the late Tony Espejo (R.I.P.) Things have changed after that. We saw in Gerald a great promise in the theater scene. As an actor there, and also, a singer.

Maybe, at that time, Gerald's manager in person of Mr. Cocoy Ramilo, thought we're simply flattering him and Gerald. But nonetheless, I wrote a beautiful article on Gerald about his great performance in the play "Sino Ka Ba, Jose Rizal?"

And Mr. Ramilo believed. He remembered. It became an inspiration for him as Gerald's manager to further shine on the theater scene. It worked.

Gerald made several musical plays after that. One of them was "San Pedro Calungsod: The Musical"


Aside from succeeding in his major concert acts, Gerald further soared-up higher.

Until the news came-out. Just recently. He's among the cast of Miss Saigon UK Tour. He will portray the role of Thuy.

Amazing.


From hereon, we will always remember. We will not forget. Lest Gerald forgets...

But not until FOREVER.

MANILA -- A 15-year-old boy from Parañaque City is this season's first four-chair turner on "The Voice Teens."

John Mc Earl Estrada, 15, earned the approval of all four coaches with his performance of Iñigo Pascual's Dahil Sa 'Yo.

"Parang napaka-presko. Parang biglang pumresko 'yung hangin dito sa loob ng studio habang kumakanta ka. That's why you got all four of us na umikot para sa'yo, and we were all just smiling at ini-enjoy lang namin 'yung performance mo," Lea Salonga told Estrada.

MIKKO: CRUSH SI COACH SARAH!

Sarah Geronimo, for her part, said: "Alam mo, nakakatuwa na mapanood 'yung mga artist na katulad mo na para bang hindi sila nagco-compete. Nagpe-perform lang sila out of love for music, out of love for entertaining people."

Bamboo also lauded Estrada for his "fun" performance.

"You just sounded like you were having fun. It didn't have to be the perfect performance. It doesn't have to be," he said.

"Tama 'yung pinili mong kanta, ang ganda ng boses mo, cool na cool ka lang. Parang pro na 'yung dating mo," Sharon Cuneta said.

Estrada, who admitted to having a crush on Geronimo, eventually chose to be part of her team.

Hosted by Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga, "The Voice Teens" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
