LANCE: over a cup of coffee |
LANCE WITH SOME OF THE CAST OF "ANG MARTIR SA GOLGOTA" SENAKULO |
It was one of those regular meetings with actor Lance Raymundo at Teresita's restaurant in Tomas Morato. But this time, we felt different upon seeing Lance. because of his "overpowering magnetic and new aura" that looked exactly like JESUS CHRIST. The long, wavy hair with curls, the deep, penetrating eyes, the charm, the built, the look... exactly like JESUS.
But we kept it to our self. We preferred not to tell lance that we're feeling like it was JESUS we're facing.
Anyway, we asked Lance how does it feel to portray Jesus again on the Senakulo entitled "Ang Martir Sa Golgota"?
"You see, Robert, some actors are afraid to portray Jesus", came Lance's quick reply over a lunch bucket of rice, veggies and fried beef. "But for me, I realized I needed to share Jesus' great love for us. Some actors are afraid to go on cleansing if ever they portray Jesus. They feel, they will undergo some trials once they portray Christ. But for me, whether or not I portray Christ, things happen, accidents happen. We don't have to blame Christ if ever some bad things come. In fact, after I portrayed Christ, good things happened. The year I didn't portray Christ, that's the time I met an accident
"For me, everyday is a gift", Lance continued on. "And portraying Jesus Christ won't give you bad luck! We encounter sufferings along the way because there's a reason for them to happen. If you have expectations on portraying Christ, it defeats the purpose, eh. I am portraying Christ not because I am expecting some good things to happen on my life after. No, that's not what I want. I am portraying Christ because I want to give back His love, I want the youth to experience His life all-over again."
Very well said, Lance. Anyway, below is Lance's declaration on HIS LIFE, afte he met the tragic facial accident a couple of years back. He posted it on his nine (9) FB accounts. Read on below:
" 3/19/2017 was my 3rd Birthday in my #NewLife after surviving my near fatal accident in #2014 ! I'd like to thank #God for the gift of #Life #Forgiveness #Hope #Faith#Love #Positivity #Friends #Family that kept me strong and helped me survive my trying times 😀
Life has been the same for me as it is for everyone : There are good days / bad days , happy days / sad days , bountiful days / dry spells ... But my experience has armed me with a better understanding of life which allows me to see #Good #Virtue and #Beauty in everything I go thru... And that's the reason why I can truly say that #LifeIsGood ... And it has been such an honor and blessing for me to have been given the chance to share this with the #World 😊 Happy Sunday everyone... #Smile & enjoy the beauty of our lives!" -- lance raymundo 😀❤️
