Hindi po siya si XANDER FORD. Ibang Xander po siya, definitely. At please lang po, huwag na huwag ninyo siyang ihahambing kay Xander Ford, ha. Siya po ay si XANDER PINEDA, not Xander Ford.
Anyway, napansin namin ang binatang ito nu'ng makita namin siya bilang isa sa cast ensemble ng musikal na dulang "Maynila: Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag (The Musical)". Naganap iyon nuong Media Night ng nasabing play sa KIA theater last Sept. 29. And based sa kanyang registration sa stage, pasableng-pasable siyang maging isang sikat at lead theater actor in the future very soon.
He's got moreno looks, deep penetrating set of eyes and a very enigmatic aura. lalo na stage, mapapansin at mapapansin mo siya maski ba lagi lang siyang nasa background.
Anyway, heto ang aming maikling Q & A (Question & Answer) kay Xander Pineda, not Xander Ford, ha:
Question1.) How do you feel being a part of "Maynila sa Mga Kuko Ng LiwanagThe Musical"?
XANDER: I feel very honored and proud knowing that it was directed by a high caliber director Joel Lamangan.
Question2.) What can you say about Joel Lamangan as a director and as a person?
XANDER: As a director, he's really one of the best, he is very professional and he motivates us to do our part well, but as a person he treats us well just like a close friend.
Question3.) How did you prepare for ur role in the play?
XANDER: I actually internalize and feel the character. I acted like I am not myself but the character I portrayed.
Question4.) Hindi kaba nahirapan na deglamourized ang role mo sa play?
XANDER: No, being a part of a Joel lamangan project is already a glamour. Not everyone is given a chance to work with a high caliber director.
qUESTION5.) Will you be more active now on the theater scene?
XANDER: Yes, if given a chance why not.
Question6.) Can you please give us a little background on your acting career?
XANDER: Since I was in grade school, I am already participating in stage plays not to mention that I did some indie movies that was directed by great directors as well. Probably acting is really in my blood.
Question7.) Gaano katindi ang epekto saiyo ng dulang "Maynila..."?
Malaki po ang epekto sa akin ng dula, dahil nakikita ko po ang kundisyon at sitwasyon ng kasalukuyang lipunan. Kung gaano po ito kahirap at kung gaano mo kailangan maging matatag para malagpasan ang hirap.
