People will always be people. No matter how strong, and no matter how proud. Strength doesn't merely rely on strong physical powers, but with a delicate touch and the journeys that one mind battles on- yes, people are still human beings, after all.
In the dark recesses of one's own imaginations, somehow, you have to guess if it's really true or not. You've got to know. If it does happen. If it does linger in the reality of everyday living.
One is two, but two can never be ONE. Because One is the One that creates, that longs for a real company. And Two? It never wishes to be ONE again.
Addiction is like clinging to the earthly bounds of existence. When addiction dies, One becomes triumphant. And maybe, the creations of one's own powerful mind will never be the same again.

Meet Badger, a gymnast and an athlete. Just like any other human beings, he dreams of greatness and more medals and more awards. But he had a secret life. A life all his own. It could be on the dark corners of his room as he 'played' some things on his laptop and milk of ecstasies would come.
It could be on an abandoned and unfinished blocks of cement walls, too, as one girl blew his top and sucked his "things".
Or, inside a comfort room, as a female colleague passionately allowed herself to be entered upon with kisses and with hugs.
Sex could be all-over, it could be messy and dirty, too. But in the eyes of one young film maker by the name of Joseph Abello, there's Art that existed in there. No matter how dim the texture was, bloody and self-mutilating, too- One still ceases to LIVE. Amidst the many battles with the Demon (or not), simply cut it off- that THING that makes you die.
A very unpretentious film with lots of twists and climaxes - the film DOUBLE TWISTING, DOUBLE BACK, a Cinema One Originals 2018 competing film, did achieve its purpose of presenting one kind of Film Arts, achieved by Cinematic License, that's so taboo and unique.
Because as they say, Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction. In a modern-day society-, vast spaces of land and journeys happen. Whether it's inside the mind or outside the environment- a personal feeling emerges, deep-rooted by family problems and lingering quests for acceptances.
Maybe, there's no need to rave one by one each staff and crew of this unprecedented indie film. Their glorious efforts were magnificently felt and seen- from the cinematography of Rain Yamson, down to the Sound, Production Design, Script, Story, Supervision and all. Because the director of the film captured it all in a tight way of handling, with free-flowing movements like dances of rituals and love.
Young people always wanted their voices to be heard. They're now conquering the world and some old people and ways shockingly could not accept them.
But whether the young fail or not, visions and images and frames of Arts, in all its freedom and quest- presents them darkly. On a contrasting impression, it had taught a lot. It made us realize so many things. And the film DOUBLE TWISTING, DOUBLE BACK simply presented it.

Who could be better than actors? And there were TWO of them in this kind of film. Besides the great support given to them by actors like Mon Confiado, Suzette Ranillo, Elora Espano, Acey Aguilar, Christian Ty and Xixi Maturan- these TWO actors further lingered.
They both became the very characters they portrayed in the film. Sometimes glamorous, sometimes ugly, sometimes violent, and sometimes weird. In sober moments, they both looked so cute, too.
One is two in this film- and they were TONY LABRUSCA and JOEM BASCON. But two is not one. Because they diversified in their respective roles, never copying each other and used their own hidden tools to present some trend-setting new acting techniques.
Tony Labrusca as Badger offered an array of emotions which was so hard for a new actor like him. Yet, he delivered fully. His handsome face was never a distraction, after all.
No matter how bad and stupid his character in the film, no matter how weak, no matter how crazy, he made it all look SYMPATHETIC.

One actor simply offered PARADISE. His character may be EVIL, but the truthfulness in his delivery made it all happen- exceeding the very high expectations on that kind of unique character like an alter ego and a double, or a twin bro.
He surely got it all flowing freely. With naturalness, depth and eye-stares that magnifies.
With sudden entrance gestures, imitating doubles and bad looks.
One had never seen an acting delivery like that-
that surely justified a dark plot and co-existence with a saintly athlete.
JOEM BASCON excelled
and will remain
unforgettable-
NOW AND FOREVER.
