Life is but simple. But along its simplicity, there are challenges to face, there are hearts that gets to be broken and events that we somehow wished could never have occurred.
QUING LALAM NING ALDO is another LGBT film that showed the wonder and the cleanliness of a father's heart. No matter if he's LGBT or not (but yes, he's a LGBT obviously), a father longs truly for his son, misses him, prepares for his most-awaited return.
The most beautiful aspect of this Short, which is among those competing this year for Cinemalaya 16, were best seen in the Opening and Ending scenes of the film.
In the opening scene, a young boy cooked and looked back to smile at his father.
And in the ending scene, the young boy has turned into a very handsome young man, and this time around, the food was already well-cooked as he carried it in the big casserole to smile back again at his father.
What a very wonderful vision.
The lightness of this film that carried a big round heart, the beautiful cinematography of Mr. Mel Cobrador and all those funny moments- wow, it surely melted our great longing for a PERFECT CINEMA. Kudos to its Director, Reeden Fajardo.
A truly "feel-good" film, and yet in the end, your tears would flow and flow and flow endlessly-,
seeing how beautiful are the lives, the promises and the hopes
of
a simple dream and its fruits
FOREVER.
