EL MAESTRO!

First, you have to click the photo (below or above) of EL MAESTRO Elwood Perez for you to appreciate this written piece. The EL MAESTRO himself got so emotional with the flood of comments and 'Likes' when he posted that picture of him with an inverted cross overhead. He was getting really emotional for the past weeks, and on that day, he was like that also as he mentioned it on his post. When certain kind of feelings overwhelm you, there must be something to it- according to a friend of mine who's also a Paranormal Expert- in the person of Zernan Mataya.

Anyway, I wanna go personal again via this written piece. Permit me to use the letter ("I".) Because in this piece, I am speaking out of my own beliefs, impulses, hunches and wisdom. I know i have some "spirit guides" out there and they are guiding me now that I am writing this.

The inverted cross overhead EL MAESTRO Elwood is a sign that he is licensed as a great film maker. The cross was inverted because in the Art of Cinema, sometimes, you have to deny Christ in order for you to show the beauty of Art and its grandeur. Painters, sculptors, film directors, architects, musicians- they all create. And they, too, transform themselves into many different forms out of their creative minds. And mind you, Religion is not the real issue here, but rather, the parallelism of Art, Life and Power.

Indeed, the photo was LARGER THAN LIFE.

The photo was miraculous, according to EL MAESTRO himself as he himself commented on it when he posted it. So, he certainly felt a different kind of energy when that picture was being taken. It was the right moment to capture it.

The picture implied (not to everybody but to ONE person only and it's this writer---rms.*) that EL MAESTRO was the chosen ONE. It somehow imparted , it conveyed, it showed. He was the Chosen One to be called NOW as the true Master of Philippine Cinema. Because the other contenders (out of his age bracket and contemporaries) had DIED. It now leaves upon to see that he's the Last Man Standing.

In terms of depth and uniqueness of his films, yes, he was chosen by the other "FOUR". As you can see, there are four empty chairs on the photo, kept chairs pushed toward the table. But some dead people were looping over those spaces.

If a dream and a wakeful vision could come alive, the four empty chairs belong to Lino, Ishmael, Celso and Maryo.

The bars and the windows were meant to be there. It's not accidental. It just manifested into a unique vision of Love and Ecstacy.

EL MAESTRO's mission on earth is not yet done. He's got some more tasks to fulfill.

And prove to everyone, that, he's indeed the 'anointed one'. He was chosen by his comrades, I mean, dead comrades, to continue and further promote the true vision of what CINEMATIC ART is all about.

LANCE'S SECOND HUMOROUS VID AT HIS YOUTUBE CHANNEL IS FUNNIER THAN EVER!

This is another kind of an epic fail sort of a video that blew out of proportion. Grabe, ang galing-galing ng acting ni Papa Lance sa vid na ito, pang-award talaga, lalo na nuances niya sa pag-iyak. Tunay namang nakakatawa po.

Hayan na naman si Papa Lance at inaapi-api na naman ng handsome American na si Travis Kraft na kuhang-kuha ang proper techniques in interrogating a lowly Filipino who copied his "Adobong Manacc" vid on Youtube.Com. (Hehehehe. This is a just a plot of the story, it didn't happen in real life, to be clear).

And there goes Papa Lance crying and crying (just click the link of the vid below to watch it or watch the attached vid above), but suddenly, he speaks in a broken English and wrong grammar Epic Fail kind of twist!

"Listen, Look, and Listen and Learn!", said Papa Lance.

WHEN TOUCHES COME ALIVE (a review on DOLCE FAR NIENTE WELLNESS SPA's fabulous swedish massage)

Living souls seek for something they couldn't fully explain. They indulge themselves in many imaginary refuges. Sometimes, they go spiritual, too- breathing in and out in many forms of meditations,  pleasures and mantras. But still, some couldn't fully sneak in.

The lingering soul just laid there still, wearing only a polka dot satin shorts, and he simply closed his eyes as the Male Therapist named Michael did all the gentle touches in his back, hands, neck, head and in every litlle fingers of his hands.

The touches of Michael made him feel more, that he's not alone in this world. That there's far more greater feeling in being touched by a fellow human being. Much more, if that human being is a good therapist, because in every touch of him, bad energies come out and die like a vapor. His hands releases all the stress-filled muscles, the coldness that somehow got stored within, and the tension that somehow prolonged, too, inside the very chores of his skin.

At DOLCE FAR NIENTE WELLNESS SPA, there's so much to live for even when you're not doing nothing. Definitely, as mentioned above, it would make you whole again.

"HUWAG NATING HUSGAHAN SI LOONIE"

Nasa isang internet shop ako nu'ng dalawang gabi na ang nakakaraan, at halos lahat ng mga kabataang nasa loob ng internet shop na 'yun, si LOONIE ang naging topic ng usap-usapan nila. Tahimik lamang akong nakinig sa usapan nila at pasumandaling tumigil sa mga pinapanood kong videos sa Youtube.Com. Heto ang usapan nila:

"Dapat ko pa bang idolohin ang idol kong si Loonie?", tanong nu'ng isa sa barkada niyang kausap. "Kasi, nilabag niya ang batas. Napanood ko 'yung video. Huli siya sa akto."

"Iidolohin ko pa rin siya", sagot naman nu'ng isa. "Kasi, hindi naman 'yung mga pagkakamali niya at mga kahinahan n'ya ang gusto ko sa kanya, 'tol. Maging ano pa s'ya, hanga pa rin ako sa music niya, 'tol".

Bumanat naman ng isang mahabang monologue ang isang teenager na babae na kasama nila:

"Naku, nakakainis naman, crush na crush ko pa naman si Loonie", sambit nu'ng girl. "Bakit kailangang mangyari sa kanya 'yun? Isa ako sa mga tumitili sa kanya! Tunay akong nalulungkot for him. Yung mga songs niya, ang gaganda ng message. May gustong iparating para sa lahat ang mga songs niya!"

"Baka naman na-set-up lang siya? Delikadong bagay iyan, huwag nating pakialamanan ang bagay na' 'yan", sabat naman nu'ng isang lalaking pinaka-guwapo sa lahat ng nandu'n sa loob ng internet shop na kinalalagyan namin. "Ginagawa lamang ng mga pulis ang pag-iiral sa batas. Sana, maimbestigahan ng maayos ang nangyari sa kanya."

Iyan po. Iyan po halos ang mga katagang narinig ko sa mga kabataan na iyon. Hindi ko lang makuha ng maayos ang way of speaking nila at mga salita, pero halos ganyan ang mga sinabi nila.

Napatahimik ako ng matagal at nag-isip habang nakaharap sa computer machine nu'ng internet shop. May tumusok ng malalim sa aking puso.

Nalungkot akong masyado. Dahil nu'ng ilang mga pagkakataon na na-meet ko ang mga rap artists na tulad nina Looney, Aklas, Shanti Dope, at iba pa-, damang-dama ko ang pagiging totoo nila. At sa tuwing pakikinggan ko ang mga musikang likha nila, tunay namang lumalakbay ang kaluluwa ko sa sobrang paghanga sa type of music or 'genre' ng likha nilang mga melodiya.

LOONIE like the rest of other rap artists are TRUE ARTISTS. Malalalim ang mga kaluluwa nila.

Oo, ang BATAS ay BATAS,.At sa nangyari nga kay Loonie, pinaiiral lamang ng mga Pulis at ng mga taong nasa awtoridad ang legalidad ng BATAS.

Pero isa lamang ang pumasok sa isipan ko: HINDI KO DAPAT NA HUSGAHAN SI LOONIE.

Kung nasira man ang pag-iidolo sa kanya ng mga kabataan ngayon, talagang napakasakit kung iisipin.

ARTISTS are still artists. Huwag sana siyang i-condemn ng mga kapwa niya artists dahil sa nangyari sa kanya. Kung nagkamali man siya o kung sakaling sinaway man niya ang batas, tao lang naman kasi din siya.

Hindi marunong sumagot si Loonie sa mga tanong sa kanya ng mga taong nasa awtoridad doon sa video ng pagkakahuli sa kanya. Ang tanga-tanga ng mga sagot niya. Artist kasi siya, eh. Hindi niya alam ang mga tamang kasagutan.

Isang konklusyon lang ang pumasok sa aking isipan nu'ng papalabas na ako ng internet shop. Sabi ko sa sarili ko: "Hihilingin ko sa lahat na sana'y unawain pa rin nila si Loonie. Ipo-post ko sa Facebook Wall ko na sana'y huwag siyang husgahan ng mga tao. Dahil hindi pa rin si Looney na nahuli ng mga Pulis ang mahalaga para sa akin, kundi si Looney na isang magaling na rap artist at gumawa't sumulat ng mga malalalim na mensahe ng buhay, at ng PAGIBIG."

Sobrang gumanda ang isang ng umaga ng mga miyembro ng LGBT's dahil sa isang artikulong nabasa nila na kung saan ay tahasang sinabi ng Kapamilya actor na si Marco Gumabao na sinusuportahan niya ang SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression Equality) Bill. Lumabas ang artikulong iyon sa MSN Entertainment (ng Microsoft news page online) na na-grab naman sa LIONHEARTV webpage:

"We all know that the SOGIE Bill is a very sensitive topic", sey pa ni Marco. "At ako rin, bilang isang common tao, ayoko ring madi-discriminate ako bilang isang straight guy. Kasi, pantay-pantay naman tayong lahat bilang mga tao. Kaya okey lang ako sa SOGIE Bill, it's like na huwag natin ding idi-discriminate ang mga kapwa-Pilipino natin, so I'm all for that."
Buti pa ang isang straight guy na tulad ni Marco, malawak ang pag-iisip. Nakakaintindi. Hindi tulad ng mga iba riyan, hindi pa rin maunawaan ang tunay na magandang maidudulot ng SOGIE Bill para sa lahat ng LGBT's.
Parang isang "Papa" si Marco na nauunawaan ang tunay na feelings ng mga binabae at lalaking may mga pusong babae. Hay, kakainlab ka, Marco!!! Salamuch.
At lalo pa kaming nagulat nu'ng nagkomento rin si Marco nu'ng ukol kay Gretchen Diez at C.R. scandal na kinasangkutan nito.
Sey ni Marco du'n sa article na iyon sa MSN:
"Basta para sa akin, kung wala namang makakaagrabyado sa aming mga lalaki, wala namang problema. So if C.R. (privilege) ang gusto ni Gretchen, I'm all for it."
Sa nabanggit na artikulong 'yun ng LIONHEARTV web page, na nabasa namin sa MSN Entertainment online, playing very safe ang writer na nagsulat nu'ng artikel and he taped and recorded Marco's words to a "T". pati 'yung pag-"ahhhh" ni Marco ay sinulat niya as taped. Very delicate kasi ang issue at ayaw sigurong madamay nu'ng writer na may pinapaboran siya-, kaya simply "as quoted" lang si Marco.
Ang mga salita sa itaas na nasabi ni Marco ay sadyang inayos na lang namin para mas maintindihan ng lahat. Pero ganu'n din naman ang thought.

Sa isang ginanap na exhibit ng Master Watercolor Painter na si Popoy Cusi sa German Club of the Philippines (na pinamagatang "Grains of Life") more than a month ago, may isang nagtanong sa Open Forum na ginanap pagkatapos ng opening ng exhibit kung bakit daw makaluma pa rin ang estilo ni Sir Popoy sa pagpinta ng mga taong nagtatanim sa bukid. Lumang approach na daw 'yung ipakitang reyalismo na mga nakasuot-mahirap ang mga Pilipinong nagtatanim. Sa puntong iyon, na-highblood ng husto si Sir Popoy at nag-deliver siya ng isang napakahabang Sermon sa lahat ng mga young student painters na dumalo sa kanyang exhbit. Heto ang mga sinabi ni Sir Popoy:

"Dapat lang na ipinta ko ang dapat at ang makatotohanan!", bulalas na sabi ni Sir Popoy. "Ang mga ipininta nina Amorsolo at Juan Luna na naka-baro't-saya ang mga nagtatanim sa bukid o kaya naman, nakasuot ng damit Kastila ay sadyang mali!

"Kay init-init dito sa Pilipinas, eh, magsusuot ka ng baro't saya habang nagtatanim, kung hindi ka ba namang hunghang! Maganda ngang tignan sa larawan, pero mali pa rin iyon. Bibubulag mo lang ang mga tao. Ngayon, iyan namang si Juan Luna, ginawang mga Kastila ang nagtatanim sa bukid. Mga nakasuot Espanyol na makakapal at mahahabang damit habang nagtatanim! Hindi ba malaking kagaguhan iyan?

"Ang ipinipinta ko lamang ay ang katotohanan", dugtong na sabi ni Sir Popoy. "Because Art imitates Life. How can you imitate the beauty of life kung ang gagawin mong larawan ay hindi makatotohanan? Ang katotohanan, kapag nagtatanim ka sa bukid, ang suot mo ay suot-mahirap lang dapat. Dahil napakainit sa Pilipinas at dapat naka-working clothes ka lamang habang nagtatanim. Tayo'y mga Pilipino. Hindi tayo mga Kastila o kaya, mga Amerikano. Tayong mga Pilipino, mapagkumbaba. Nagtatrabaho tayo ayon sa klima at panahon.

"Tapos na ang age of Romanticism na naging period noon nina Amorsolo at Juan Luna", anya pa. "Ang panahon ngayon ay panahon na ng Realismo. Binibigyan ko lamang ng buhay ang bersyon o series ko sa Grains of Life na exhibit ko. Ang ipinakita ko ay mga tunay na Pilipino!"

Nanahimik ang lahat ng mga nakarinig sa mahabang Speech o Sermon ni Master Popoy Cusi para sa mga kabataang naroon sa exhibit. Pinalakpakan siya ng husto sa naging Speech niya. Naglapitan sa kanya ang lahat ng mga kabataang Pintor na naroon at inakap siya ng mahigpit ng mga ito.

Lalo ding humanga sa kanya ang mga German nationals at foreigners na nagsipagdaluhan din sa nabanggit na exhibit. Dahil hindi ikinahiya ni Master Popoy ang pagka-Pilipino niya. Kaya hayan, nasundan pa ngayon ng isa pang exhibit si Master Popoy sa German Club na pinamagatan naman ngayong "Art In Community Identity". Ongoing na ang nasabing exhibit sa buong buwan ng Setyembre sa German Club. Tara na kayo, tignan ninyo ang mga likha ng isang World-Class Pinoy painter na pinuri ng lubos at hinangaan din sa ibang bansa. Malapit na ngang ipasok sa pagiging National Artist si Sir Popoy. Mabuhay!!!
