It was definitely the most beautiful concert that I had seen in the year 2020. Although the venue was just a simple sing-along bar (but we've seen other more concerts in Solaire, Resorts World, New Frontier theater, and others) named Music Box, it wasn't the venue, indeed, but the very soul of the concert, the rhythm the flowed along, and the male lead singer that simply lingered-on in our minds.

"This concert you directed, Jobert, is the most beautiful one I had seen", we whispered to Mr. Jobert Sucaldito, the one who directed this Back Home concert of Aliw Awardee Marc Kiel Alo. "And Kiel is so so good. I won't ever forget this concert."

Via the concert Back Home, we now realized that a good concert is undeniably a good one even if it is staged in a lesser venue. It doesn't really matter. What matters is the good repertoire of songs (kudos to Mr. Butch Miraflor, the Musical Director of this concert) and the singers of songs who all participated in this concert- and most of all- Mr. Marc Kiel Alo, the one who holds this great concert.

Kiel was effortlessly good, suave, soulful and charming as he delivered the songs. After having a good training in the Theater world (thanks to director Frannie Zamora, the one who trained Kiel in good posture while singing songs in the much-acclaimed play "Kanser" of Gantimpala Theater Foundation),  Kiel looked so unbelievably confident onstage, an act and impression which is common among theater performers. And when Kiel mixed his moves with charismatic manners, the more he looked and sounded so elegant, especially when he sang his opening song number "Call Me".

As the other young male singers, the likes of Carlo Mendoza, L.A. Santos, and Kyle Matthew appeared onstage, there was this great wonderful feeling of seeing new and fresh promising singers out to conquer your hearts. As they bonded together on stage singing songs like "Ang Huling El Bimbo", "Kisapmata", "O, Pare Ko", and the likes, the real message of the concert was felt: That, it's time now for more good-looking singers and male ones at that, to conquer the Music Industry.

The appearances of gay comedians-singers on stage was a super hit. Mr. Sucaldito simply knew how to delight his audience. It was like a bomb exploding when one gay impersonator fascinated everyone singing a song whose lyrics he changed into a 'Nissin crackers melody' kind of song and passed-along up the air packets of Nissin Ramen crackers to the audience.

Surely, this kind of a concert was something we will never forget. And it further guaranteed, Mr. Marc Kiel Alo has arrived and could now be leveled-up to the statuses of other singers like Michael Pangilinan, Jed Madela and Christian Bautista. He now surely belongs to that category.

Bravo! BACK HOME with Kiel Alo concert was surely the best.

As in FOREVER.

T.E.A.M. (THE ENTERTAINMENT ARTS MEDIA) GEARS-UP FOR AN ENCORE PARTY ON JANUARY 2020

After a very succesful Christmas Party last December 15 at Music 21 KTV Plaza in Timog Avenue, the TEAM (The Entertainment Arts Media) press group is now gearing-up for an encore party this coming January 2020.

"There will be rounds of raffle prizes again, gifts, tokens, special guests and wonderful food and drinks", a TEAM member said. "Last Christmas party kasi natin sa TEAM, hindi nakahabol ang ilan pang mga celebrities na nag-donate ng gifts and cash tokens. Like Nino Muhlach and other more popular stars and celebrities. Marami pa palang na-solicit ang mga TEAM members na sina Obette Serrano, Pilar Mateo, Roland Lerum, Maridol Ranoa-Bismark and of course, our TEAM moving force na si Nonie Nicasio! Plus the rest pa.

"Kaya this January, we are gearing-up na for an encore party!", one TEAM member continued to say. "Bitin kasi ang karamihan sa TEAM members, plus the fact na kailangan pa ring ma-distribute ang iba pang gifts and cash. At bale pa, may belated birthday party treat si Anne Venancio para sa co-TEAM members niya. Oh, my. Simply great!"

TEAM members are composed of the following: NONIE NICASIO, PILAR MATEO, MARIDOL RANOA-BISMARK, ROLAND LERUM, OBETTE SERRANO, ROBERT SILVERIO, BOY BORJA, CESAR IAN BATINGAL, ATHENS YAP,  ALEX DATU, RONA AVECILLA, JHAY ORENCIA, ANNE VENANCIO, ALLAN SANCON, THROY CATAN, MARIALUZ CANDABA AND MS. NENE RIEGO. 

Last December 15, all TEAM members got a chance to win in five rounds of raffle prizes. One of the most cherished prizes was the Slimmer's World 30k worth of gift certificates, as donated by Mr. Christian Ty and his mom Normita Ty.

On Robert Silverio's (a TEAM member) account, he would like to thank these celebrities who generously replied and responded on TEAM's solicitation letter. They are: Mr. Derek Dee, Christian Ty and Normita Ty, Jose Jeffrey Camanag, Rosie Cruz (mom of singer Carlo Mendoza), Frannie Zamora, Lukas Avid, Carlito Mallilin and Cris Nicolas of Club Mwah and Mr. Rommel Luna.

Among the most-valued guests of the TEAM at their last Christmas party were Janah Zaplan and his dad Mr. Zaplan, director Romm Burlat, Mojak, Nash Tillah, Allona Amor, Ms. Liz Alindogan and many more.

Almost 200k thousand of cash was solicited by the TEAM this year, plus lots of baskets and bags of beauty products, imported goods and other product items.

"Maski mas maliit na lang ang makukuha ng mga TEAM members sa encore party natin this January, bongga pa ring masasabi ito" one TEAM member who doesn't want to be named, revealed in the end. "At least, tayo ay may encore party pa. Not bad, isn't it? Magsaya ule tayong lahat this 2020!!!"

TEAM MEMBERS would like to thank the very good and inspiring leadership of Mr. Nonie Nicasio. Without his positive attitude, his patience and understanding and good qualities of a moving force behind the TEAM, their Christmas party won't be that successful.

LANCE RAYMUNDO, MAY MALAKING SORPRESANG IHAHANDOG PARA SA LAHAT SA TAONG 2020!

Marami siguro ang nagtataka kung bakit ang daming FB Posts ng singer-actor na si Lance Raymundo showing hin training some Martial Arts skills, kasama pa ang ibang mga male hunks. It's been over a month now, lagi siyang may mga FB posts na ganu'n. Ukol saan kaya ang rigid training niyang mga iyon lately. Para saan?

"It's in line with my new big mainstream movie coming-up next year, and we're gonna shoot na any day from now", paliwanag na sabi ni Lance over a heavy dinner of tenderloin steaks. "Talagang rigid ang training namin, kasama ang iba pang kasama sa cast ng film. We will have kasi some action scenes in that film, eh. Mga Martial Arts, Arnis and the likes. Grabe, talagang twice a week, nagte-training kami."

Ano ba ang film na ito, Papa Lance?

"Sorry, Robert, ayaw ng Viva Films, ni direk Jason Paul Laxamana, at ng Supervising producer na si June Rufino na i-reveal ko ang anything about the film, lalo na ang title nito", dugtong na sabi ni Lance. "All I can say now is, may Martial Arts scenes kami doon and it's one real big film!"

Kaka-suspense naman, Papa Lance. Parang ang sarap-sarap panoorin ni Papa Lance doing all those big scenes in that mainstream film, lalo na't may action scenes siya doon. Tiyak, aabangan ng lahat iyan!

In the meantime, after winning so many awards and recognitions left and right, sobrang busy din si Papa Lance this Holiday Season. Lagi siyang nai-invite sa mga hosting events, fashion events, and the likes. Doing well din ang remake ng song na re-arranged mismo ni Papa Lance, ang "Silent Night", na napakaganda ng kanyang Funk cover sa classic song na iyon. Maski na ang supladang critic-reviewer sa Music industry na si Ms. Baby Gil ay pinuri ang pagka-arrange ni Lance sa awiting "Silent Night".

"It's a success, both critically and commercially", pagtatapos na wika pa ni Papa Lance. "Hindi ko inaasahan na magiging ganu'n kalaki ng scope ng success ng Silent Night ko. Maski sa viral world at sa mga digital platforms, humahataw siya. Kaya magandang Christmas gift ito para sa akin. Maraming salamat sa lahat!"

Talagang may malaking sorpresang ihahandog si Papa Lance sa pagpasok ng taong 2020. It's gonna be Lance's year, for sure.

LANCE RAYMUNDO, GUSTONG I-REPRISE ANG PAPEL NA ROMEO SA DULANG "ROMEO & JULIET" NG GANTIMPALA THEATER FOUNDATION

Minsang nakipag-kuwentuhan sa amin ang actor-singer na si Lance Raymundo sa isang posh restaurant sa Greenfield District in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong, nabanggit niya na ang isa sa mga bagay na gusto niyang gawin at balikan ay ang ma-reprise ang role na ROMEO sa dulang ROMEO & JULIET ng Gantimpala Theater Foundation. Naging topic muna kasi ng usapan namin na dapat ay sa mundo ng Teatro siya magka-award next year para sa Senakulong Martir Ng Golgota ng Dulaang Sta. Ana. Kaso mo, sa pagiging host siya na-nominate this year sa Aliw Awards. How we wish, mapansin ng mga award-giving bodies like the Aliw Awards ang angking kagalingan ni Lance sa pagganap bilang Hesukristo sa dulang Martir Ng Golgota. Kaya sana, next year, mapansin na siya. Sa lahat kasi ng bagay na ipinamalas ni Lance sa pamamagitan ng kanyang talento, doon sa nabanggit na dula kami sobrang na-impress sa kanya.

Anyway, ipinangako naman ni Lance sa blogger na ito he will again portray Jesus Christ next year sa nabanggit na dula, maski ba ayon sa mga advanced schedules na niya next year, talagang fully-booked at malamang na nasa ibang bansa siya by Holy Week of 2020. Pero since nakita ni Lance ang pagka-malungkot sa mukha ng blogger na kausap niya, bigla niyang sinabi naman ito: "Aayusin ko maige ang skeds ko next year, Robert, para magampanan ko ule si Jesus Christ. Don't worry, Rob, panata ko na rin 'yan- ang magampanan si Hesukristo taon-taon."

Wow naman. Anyway, back to Lance's desire na magampanan muli ang role na Romeo sa dulang Romeo & Juliet ng Gantimpala Theater Foundation, heto ang sabi niya:

"It's so cool to portray Romeo", sabi ni Lance. "I am also a romantic person kasi. Nu'ng time na ginawa namin ang play na iyon sa Gantimpala, talagang very memorable sa akin. Si Adriana Agcaoili ang Juliet ko sa dulang iyon. At nag-tour ang play na iyon sa madaming schools and venues. It's one of the most widely-appreciated plays ng Gantimpala.

"Kaya kung tatanungin mo ako what I really wanna portray again aside from Jesus Christ, 'yun nga, I wanna portray Romeo again. You know what, we rehearsed for almost two months, nag-aral pa kami ng Fencing at Shakespearean accent and words. Kaya kung mabasa man ito ng mga taga-Gantimpala, I wanna let them know, if they will restage Romeo & Juliet again soon, I'm still here to portray the role of Romeo."

Kung sakali mang hindi na puwede si Ms. Adriana Agcaoili na gumanap sa papel na Juliet dahil busy na ito these days sa Corporate job niya, we suggest Ms. Jernice Matunan ang gumanap na Juliet. Nu'ng mapanood kasi namin siya sa dulang El Filibusterismo, gandang-ganda kami sa mukha niya at tiyak babagay siya kay Lance. (Sorry po, Mr. M.K.A., Hihihihi. Hindi naman po mang-aagaw si Papa Lance. Kapag katrabaho niya, hindi niya nililigawan. So don't worry, Mr. M.K.A.---r.s.**)

Wow. Parang kaka-excite panoorin ni Papa Lance sa papel na Romeo, ha. Tiyak niyan, maraming mga estudyante ang kkiligin kapag napanood na si Lance bilang Romeo. Kaya paging Sirs Jun Pablo, direk Jose Jeffrey Camanag and actress Adriana Agcaoili na mga resident artists ng Gantimpala, what about coming-up with the restaging of the play ROMEO & JULIET next year? Gawin sanang Musical, para mas bongga!

Sa ngayon, abala si Papa Lance sa mga iba't-ibang fitness training niya in line with a big movie project na nakatakda niyang gawin next year. Ayaw munang pabanggit ni Lance ang titulo ng movie project niyang iyon. Basta surprise lang daw muna.

"I guess the coming year of 2020 will be such a surprising year for me. They better watch out!", pagtatapos na wika pa ni Lance Raymundo.
